No - I am NOT talking about the all successful game!
Just watched Black Hawk Down, and found it interesting that there are not many good board games, depicting modern conflicts. I am, of course aware, that a board game about the war in Irak might be very controversial or offensive to the families of the soldiers fighting there. And I would not propose such a thing. However, in the nineties we had some conflicts, which now are history.
Also a game depicting the modern conflict could be hypothethical (I think that would be the best idea), so the scenarios could be optional and exciting. Maybe it shouldn't even be a standalone game, but a Tide of Iron add-on. I am not into WW II, but some modern warfare on my table - now that is something I would like to see! Who is with me on this?
I find it surprising, that I am bringing up this idea, since I am, and always will be the "medieval guy", modern warfare seems not fair for me (being able to kill hundreds of people and not even seeing them, pressing a button, while reading a Donald Duck comic book - yes, that is modern warfare*), but I still would welcome such a game.
