I have a love affair with mangler cannon at the moment getting that crit through on an interceptor is awesome. It's more of a just for fun list that if it works.....

Green dice do SUCK but after yesterday. I had Biggs on 1 hull survive 3 rounds of combat thanks to green dice did not need a focus..... I looked outside to see if the sun was setting in the east

Its nice to see the duel or triple evades, but it sure is more rare than duel or triple blanks

Ran Palob tonight (Crow/RecSpec/BT/Opp) along with Kaa'To. It was amusing to steal a Focus token, then feed it to Kaa'To to use on the attack or defense roll... I think they may be my new favourite two-some.

There are a wingman on Kaa'To that have to help get rid of stress.

I played rebel HWK alot and most useful move during firefight for HWK is a 2-turn. Need for green moves very restrictive for such fragile ship as HWK.

Some tokens Palob will give to Kaa'To for focus+TL shots (or defensive use).

K4 is an option, but HWK suffers from it.

Those are statistically identical results (they both cover 3/8's of the die), we just tend to remember the rolls when a ship is one-shotted and not so much the times when you evade 2 out 3 hits or when you roll 3 evades after your opponent completely whiffs on the attack.

I agree with this, I occasionally run Jan Ors and if she doesn't fly with Biggs then she definitely has Nien Nunb on board.

Oh, you are right. I miss timing of Wingman. So we need some means for Palob defence. And bodyguard isn't an option with Palob's PS5. There are decoy or swarm tactics, but it is too complicated combo.

I have been running Farlander with Opportunist, and I haven't ever had difficulty finding ships to shoot at. Sure I also give him a HLC and keep him far enough back so that he has most of the battle in his firing arc. But Opportunist is not really that hard to trigger.

I posted a similar list a few days ago except I used Serissu as my Decoy instead of Kavil and had Laetin with a Mangler instead of the Pirate. I think my list would probably be too light on damage and even though it spends a lot on defense would still get burnt down quickly by a lot of lists.

I see two big problems with your list. The first is that a 99 point Palob list or a list with Carnor Jax absolutely eviscerates your firepower as does any list that can bring some action denial. The second problem is that Palob is going to be extremely focus starved if you've got him paying for Leechos to run Bodyguard. Without Recon Spec you are only going to have 2 or 3 focus tokens banked before the first round of shooting. You are going to go through 3 or 4 tokens each round. In my experience with Palob you can't count on his ability to actually ever steal a token, especially when he is one of the heavy hitters in your list.

Kaa'to can't bodyguard Palob in this list. Is the idea to use Palob like Biggs to keep Kavil alive through the opening engagement and to hopefully be able to deal enough damage through the two Opportunist Blaster Turrets that you can come out ahead by the time Palob goes down?
