Captain Yorr, Captain Oicunn, Daredevil, Dauntless and Engine Upgrade.

How many Daredevil Slams can I pull out of this?

I thought that Boost was not considered a maneuver but an Action.

Dauntless "After you execute a maneuver that causes you to overlap another ship, you may perform 1 free action. Then receive 1 stress token."

Daredevil works only once (you can only use each action once per turn)

Dauntless triggers: two.

Captain Oicunn trigger: two.

Doing the normal maneuver -> Captain Oicunn and Dauntless trigger.

-> free action: Daredevil: Daredevil count as maneuver -> Captain Oicunn and Dauntless trigger.

-> freee action: Boost. Boost is no maneuver and can not be used to overlap with another ship -> Captain Oicunn and Dauntles cannot trigger.

This is my view how it should be.

You are correct. Boost =/= Maneuver, and cannot overlap.

It could be interesting to maneuver into a ship, then daredevil that ship again, and then manage to boost the other way and clear allowing you to shoot when the opportunity comes up. Of course you're left with a pile of stress to clear before you could do most of it a second time.

And if you take that last free action, TL or Focus f.e., you are left with 3 stress (2x Dauntless, 1x DD) oO

Serious question: How often would one be able to pull this stunt off?

I would argue not more than once in a timed environment, as you need 3 rounds to clear the stress before you can do it again.

Is the guaranteed 2 DMG (that you likely only pull off once) worth the 9pts in upgrades - 11pts if you count the 2pts upgrade from the Patrol Leader pilot?

I think it would be. Imagine your opponent has some hard-to-hit-with-guns ship, like a Phantom or any decent 3-dice ship. Most of those have low health, do double tapping them with Oicunn is going to hurt...a lot. The only issue is you're super stressed by the end. I'd be flying Oicunn with two BSP with Wingman, just to make sure that the big guy can turn round proper with his hard turns. and do it all over again.

Taking 3 Stress to pull it off may not be something you'd do often but having it as an option could be useful. The better question is simply how effective would the upgrades be even without this one crazy interaction.
