Do Not Shoot Jake Please

I am honestly not sure if the action economy combo here works as I read it, but I am definitely sure that I do not want my opponent to shoot at Jake. I hope they do not. :(

This list is probably no good at all, but I think I would enjoy flying it.

Jake will probably be your opponent's primary target especially before he launches the proton rockets, if/once he gets them off keyan will become the main target, it might make sense to give Jake the chardaan, and put prockets on one if the prototype pilots

That's actually a great idea. I'll edit the list.

EDIT: Hmm. Actually, I don't think I like the idea of putting the rockets on the Prototype Pilot now that I've gone through some mock scenarios, just because of the Pilot Skill. He can get blown-up before he can shoot too often, whereas while Jake is going to be a fireball shortly after getting into R1, his skill is high enough that he can spend the rockets first.

...So, to double-check this - putting a Focus token on Jake will cause him to trigger both his own ability to gain a free barrel roll or boost, and will also trigger Experimental Interface, which can then also trigger Squad Leader. Is that correct?

So, Jake could Focus himself to boost or Barrel Roll, then with Experimental Interface and Squad Leader, grant the Prototype Pilot with the rockets the ability to generate a free Focus token?

Then the Prototype Pilot Target Locks the opponent's Dash Rendar. I throw the dice; 5 hits. This is unsatisfactory. I re-roll everything using the Target Lock. 5 crits. Dash Rendar explodes. The event is caught on camera, and I become an international millionaire sensation. I spend the rest of my prime years playing miniatures games with Seth Green and Felicia Day.

Wow.

I hope the list works like that.

I played the list on Vassal twice, Despite my abhorrent piloting, it did go 1-1 (although I did not become a millionaire celebrity jet fighter pilot after my victory. Also I only won the second game because my opponent flew his IG-88C off of the table on the 3rd round, but we'll pretend I totally deserved the victory. :P )

The interactions between Squad Leader & Experimental Interface hardly saw use, and the B-Wing was simply too clumsy to bring the Autoblaster to bear (or, at least, I was too clumsy with it). So, I'll have to see if this feels better.

Count me out of this list if that's the "reward".

If you are having trouble lining up shots with Farlander, you might have better luck with "stay on target", you lose the action unless you can fit advanced sensors, but with two speed maneuvers it's the most flexible option...

I did want to run SoT, but the targets I would want to shoot with the Autoblaster (Whisper, Echo, similar cheese) all act after Farlander anyway. :|

easy fix

Farlander

*Stay on Target

*Advanced Sensors

*b/e mod

**Intelligence agent

Now you know where PS 8+ ships are going (unless it's echo, not even echo knows where she's going...) and Keyan's basically a phantom in his own right.

In general, though, auto-blaster is too expensive to be effective and Keyan's plenty pricey as he is. At most I'd add a mangler

PTL on Jake when he has Proton Rockets seems too good to pass up. Focus to boost or barrel-roll into range one of your target. Use PTL to Target Lock. Fire off 5 target locked and focused dice of fury. It should be rare not to land 4 or 5 of them.
