This is a simple squad I came up with. Does it look any good?

Until the Raider comes out with the TIE/x1 title to patch it the TIE advanced isn't exactly a great ship.

I don't recommend Determination on Mithel or any TIE fighter because they don't have enough hull for it to really be worth it. Ships like the VT-49 that have a lot of hull or ships that are likely to get Pilot crits (Leebo and ships carrying Greedo) benefit from Determination, Mithel, not as much.

If you've got her, Howlrunner is probably better support for the other TIEs than Mithel anyway.

The SD won't help with the Proton Rockets if that is what you are thinking.

If you drop the AP's and SD's you could add another Storm with PRockets, upgrade Mauler to Howlrunner and have 4 points left over to kit her out?

Forgot there was a limit to the PR's bonus's from agilty. It was just an Idea anyways!

Empire isn't my preferred side so I decided to play around with the possibilities!

Proton Rocket-armed TIE Advanced are still far from bad. But since you've hit the maximum dice bonus, and you're already **** tough, I'd recommend a hull upgrade for your modification instead.

That puts you on par with the TIE defender for durability for significantly less points.

Academy pilots never hurt, but Determination seems an odd choice for Mithel. It's not bad, either, but I'd take either Veteran Instincts (the PS8 bracket is a in important one so jumping it is good) or, if you have a copy, Calculation.

I will keep working on this, I think I would want the storm squadrons with proton rockets and hull upgrades for a long lasting tie fighter with a pretty powerful payload! I could field up to 3 of them (With these upgrades) but what could I do with the excess 13 points?

I'd say terrible Tie Advances are like garbage A-wings completely over-burdened with their horrible damage-cost ratio that won't be truly viable until the Raider hits.

Now, Darth Vader is not terrible. Taken for what he is and allowing for a slightly off-base, cross-faction comparison, he's kind of like a sh*tty Jake Farrel. You give him a set of rockets and he'll still be inefficient, but he can certainly get some work done.

Playing casual, of course, means anything goes as long as you have fun
