I do have a few unique cards that can only have 1 out atta time like light of valinor but I feel that they are important cards to help make the deck work.

Thanks again guys

The first thing that stands out for me is that you have two different versions of Glorfindel (both unique cards) among your heroes.

P. 8 of the rulebook:

If a ny player has a unique card in play, no player can play or put into play another card with the same title This rule applies to all unique hero , ally, attachment, and event cards that might enter play.

While you have copies of Glorfindel from different spheres, both have the same title ("Glorfindel"), beside which there is a "unique" icon… so one of them has to be dropped (the Lore version, probably).

Aside from that, it's kind of hard to comment on your deck without having more info. Is this intended to be a straight solo deck, or part of 2-handed, 2-player, or 3-4 player game? What quests do you intend to tackle with it? I see that you have some cards from HoN/AtS in your deck, and I haven't played those quests or used cards from those sets yet. Strategy will differ in accordance with the number of players and particular quest(s) you are playing. A solo deck needs to be more versatile than any single deck in 2-4 player games.

From what I have read, the HoN quests are particularly brutal, and some of the quests in the earlier cycles require the construction of very specific decks to be successful (Journey to Rhosgobel, The Redhorn Gate, Shadow and Flame, etc.).

I'm sure some more knowledgeable/experienced folks will be able to provide you with more useful feedback (at a glance, I'm pretty sure that someone will tell you to toss Power in the Earth… a largely useless card, especially given its cost; and Ancient Mathom is far better than Lorien's Wealth).

Nooooooooo my Glorfindel twins! Should of.known this! Thanks for pointing this out. In terms of how this deck is meant to be played, it was made to be used both solo and 2player as I have a weekly card night with a mate of mine. Don't know if this noob mistake no2 or not :-D

My thinking behind it was to be healer and threat management based, using allies for attack power and aragorn as my defender.

My reasons for a 2 sphere and not 3 sphere deck was I found I couldn't play cards as often as I needed with a 3 sphere deck, what hero would you recommend to replace lore Glorfindel?

Regarding what quests it's designed for well to be honest that never came into play. It was just what I felt comfortable playing with and I'd use it to tackle all quests :-P and then edit for specific quests that fails but then revert back to normal.

Who to sub in as your Lore hero? Hard to say.

Bilbo Baggins is great for consistent card draw, so long as you can buff him up a bit to keep him from dying. Beravor could play a similar role and double as a decent defender if you can get Unexpected Courage on her early in the game. Denethor is a good if somewhat fragile defender, and can really be helpful if you get Unexpected Courage on him as well (so that he can defend and also spy on the encounter deck and send really nasty cards to the bottom of the deck… Denethor has often been my MVP/MVH). Bifur's ability is great for resource smoothing, and often allows you to put a Lore ally in play on round 1, even when playing dual-sphere (his very low threat is also a great asset). And though Elrond has a very high starting threat, you can get a lot of allies from any sphere in play quickly with his ability, all the more if you attach Vilya to him.

Evidently, what quest you end up playing should influence your hero choice. If you're playing Journey Along the Anduin, you won't want to have Elrond in your line-up if you insist on going with Glorfindel (Sp) and Aragorn (Lore), because your starting threat will be 30, which means the Hill Troll will immediately come down and pummel you to death.

Another hero (Spirit) that pairs up well with Aragorn (Lore) is Frodo Baggins… he's almost indestructible, and the threat raise he takes to cancel damage can be offset by Aragorn's threat reduction ability. I have found them to be a particularly effective pair (with Glorfindel-Sp) against The Battle of Lake-Town.

Why not give different heroes a try and decide for yourself which one best fits your deck under different circumstances?

EDIT: evidently, you'd have to drop ally Elrond if you end up making use of hero Elrond.
