So going through my new collection of second hand cards I few a few oddities. A few that have a set ico but no number, and a few with no number or icon. They seem to have less framing/text and more art. I then notice the card name and abilities mimicks that of another card I already have (with different art but including number and icon)

So I am guessing these are promo alternative art cards ????

If so, any special rules? Im guessing you cant include more than 3 in a deck just because the whole card looks different. Im guessing the card name and stats are the distinguishing thing for limiting to 3 per deck.

Am I right and is there a list/gallery online of alternative or extended art for WI? I checked deckbox but couldnt find anythjng.

They're just that, alternate art cards. No special rules or anything. Though for tournaments you were supposed to use sleeves with opaque backs since they look at bit different from behind.

I'm not aware of an index, but there aren't many alternate art cards. Most were part of Game Night Kits, a few were given out only to participants of certain tournaments.

Off the top of my head: Warpstone Excavation, Judgement of Verena, Zealot Hunter, Rip dere 'eads off!, Spawn of Itzl, Contested Village, Blood Dragon Knight, Dark Visions.

Can I also say thanks to you Mallumo for your efforts in keeping the online presence of the game alive. The forum is pretty quiet (not sure if there is a more active one somewhere?) But you always seem to still be here reading posts and answering questions. Add to that your podcasts (im yet to listen) and the fan expansion (which i think you are involved with) makes for awesome efforts in keeping WI alive on the web.

I imagine WI will always be played offline by fans but wide popularity is so closely linked with an online presence that its great you keep this alive so well (i wish somebody was also doing it with the warcraft tcg)
