Using Dash without Outrider Title?

Hello,

I had good success with Fat Dash (4th place) at a local Store Tournament. The known downsides of Dash with Outrider + HLC obviously include the range 1 blind spot as well as critical hits that wreck the HLC. I flew Fat dash with 3 Bandits.

Now I am thinking of using Dash with the Mangler Cannon but WITHOUT the Outride Title. Instead this gives me room to include one more bandit. My list (total 98 Points) now looks like this

Dash RendarYT-2400 Freighter (50 points)

Push the Limit, “Mangler” Cannon, Kyle Katarn, Engine Upgrade

4 x Bandit Squadron Pilot (each 12 points)

I still have to the this squad. This build definitely posts a greater challenge flying Dash. But anyways the new Autothruster cards are going to force me to get the targets into my firing arc more often. Do you think using Dash without Outrider is viable or a waste of Dashes ability? I think the action economy of PTL and Kyle Katarn are worth more then Outride Title alone.

It's not really worth it in my experience

Now, I like Zs in numbers, but unfortunately the game's dice make it so that 2 reds are basically worthless against 3+ greens and the Z-95 does not have the Tie Fighter's excellent dial + roll to service as an amazing blocker.

Imo, you'd be much better off with even 2 Blue squadron Pilots w/FCS. At 24 points and provided they survive, they're actually one of the most terrifying ships for their relatively low cost (TL+ focus on 3 dice generics is pretty amazing if you get it off). All in all, they're simply far more flexible than the Zs against both fatties and high agility, and even as blockers (Barrel-roll, baby!). The Zs do have a sweet spot at 36 points, though, where they provide enough bodies without lopsiding your list too badly. But in general I've been moving away from rebel Zs because scum Feedback array just makes them leaguesnadleaguesandLEAGUES better and more fun :D

Also, I don't personally believe Dash needs EU when he has the title. Barrel-roll on a large base is so huge and the difference between a 2 dice turret and a 3 dice turret is so tragically massive that it's worth the exchange.
