Holy balls dude. I thought your Phantom was nice. You a 40k vet or something? Props
Use to play 40k, warmachine, and other mini games. never really had fully painted armies (too lazy half the time) but I did improve my skills from the models I did paint.
Well keep it up; I'm looking forward to seeing more of your stuff!
A commission for 5 cartel spacer m3a's and a personal Firespray done up as Emon's Andrasta are currently in the works. Should have them picture ready in a few days.
Mine is full of derp; only acceptable from a distance! haha
Beyond Amazing...is all I can say.
Please, share me some of your techniques, it'll mean a lot to me, if it's OK.
Really appreciate this one, hope to more in the future!
Ok, so my process on this guy was pretty simple. I worked with what I have and all the paints were Citadel because I enjoy using them. A couple were the old paint, and in very bad condition, but I made it work.
1: Based in black. Had I a dark grey that was a base paint, not a layer, I probably could have skipped this and based with the dark grey, but I needed to even out the existing paint.
2: A quick brush over of Dawnstone.
3: dry brushed over a layer of Administratum Grey.
4: Used Khorne Red to block in the fire shapes.
5: washed the entire model with black.
6: Once the wash was dry I went back and highlighted all the grey parts with the Administratum Grey
7: Used an old terrible condition Blood Red to highlight the red areas of the ship.
8: Blocked the eye and mouth shapes out with black.
9: used a small brush and white to paint in the basics of the eye and teeth. For the teeth i started with just short stroke lines taking care that they did not touch each other or the edge of my blacked out shape. To steady my hand and brush, both wrists were supported on the table edge. my left thumb supported my right hand, while my left index finger was placed on near the tip of the brush to provide a better feedback on the brush itself.
10: using the same stabling method, i traced the very inner outline of the blocked out black shape with the white, to connect the teeth like in the picture on the card. then followed up by reoutlining in black and dotting the eyes, just to sharpen up the outline.
11: Finally I used Averland Sunset on the engines and couple stripes followed up by an old Shining Gold I had lying around. once the gold dried it hit them with a light wash of black.
12: forgot, since i'm sloppy in the first couple stages I reblacked and glossed the cockpit.

Too lazy to be lazy all the time; that's almost as impressive as your painting!
That's pretty feak'n AWESOME!!
Finally got around to painting this one this past weekend. Knew I wanted to fly him with my list, and just had to paint that shark mouth.
I am so glad you posted your paints, I told you these folks would love em.
Great work. Im glad to see someone paint this up
