Nearly Everything Cataloged in Excel

By Zero_Outcome, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

With six different additional books out now, I found that it was becoming rather difficult to compare everything Edge of the Empire had to offer. So, with a little too much time on my hands, I set out to catalog everything I could for ease of access. Rather than keeping this to myself, I thought other people could make some use of this too

Armor

Attachments & Modifications

Items

Space & Land Vehicles

Weapons

Hope you can all make use of this! (There may be some errors in spelling and some non-parallelism with the way things are described but I noticed that there was a lot of non-parallelism in the books themselves)

Hey, behind the link from Attachments & Modifications are Armors for a second time ;-)

But your work is great.

Note that there is also the fan-maintained FFG SWRPG Index at http://swrpg.viluppo.net/

We’re trying to get all of the items, ships, etc… from all the books, but some custom code is required to make it look good and to keep the back-end database properly organized.

If you’d like to compare and contrast what you have with what we’ve got, I’m sure that both efforts can benefit. Feel free to let me or Aahzmandius_Karrde know about any changes you would suggest, or if you’ve got any questions. Aahzmandius_Karrde is the owner of the site, but I try to help out as I can.

Opps, that should be fixed now!

That's what I've been using up until I made this, so I'm certainly a fan! I made this because a lot of the items and such don't have the extra effects and such on them (from what I was able to see). You're more than welcome to copy over the descriptions/effects I've made on these sheets.

Yeah, we’ve specifically avoided providing some of the fluffier information. We don’t want to get hit with a Cease and Desist letter from the Mousely Lawyers.

We do try to provide everything that is shown in the various tables, in the same format. But if it’s not in a table, then we tend to be much more circumspect.

Speaking only for myself, I do kinda wish that we were able to do things like multi-column sorting, sorting on things beyond the standard table headers, and searching. All of which are easier to do when you have a proper spreadsheet format.

But we’ve made our choice in this space and they’ve left us alone so far, so I doubt we’re going to add a great deal more fluffier detail to our listings.

Um, besides copy and pasting them into one workbook, I don't know how to consolidate them off the top of my head. But keep in mind, my list does not contain anything from Age of Rebellion, the adventure books, or other parts of the books besides of official items, equipment, etc. sections.

Yea, the whole legal thing is something I'm a bit worried about since it is copying most of the pertinent information directly from the sourcebooks. I tired to copy only enough for enough of a description as you need to use the item, but I guess we'll see and if I need to take it down, I'll take it down.
