Ok I want to create a list thats fun ( dont think it will be competitive) called : Y So Serious with Ywings and Serissu but i need help

suggestions?

I'll go through my entire list building process on this one, so that you can see what I did and tweak the decisions at any point later.

List Theme: Serissu and Scum Y-wings

Goals: Abuse Serissu's ability with the 1 defense dice of the beefy Y-wings to survive as long as possible

Potential weaknesses: Serissu is an obvious first target, Y-wings have terrible dials without astromech assistance

Initial list: Serissu, 3x Syndicate Thug, 74 points

Development: The Y-wings beg for a turret upgrade, so lets start with Ions, for a total of 89 points, 11 left for upgrades. Serissu could use a damage boost, so lets use 6 points to add a mangler cannon, for 5 left. BTL-A4 Y-wings are a clear choice here, as you'll be flying in somewhat of a formation to abuse the pilot ability, and it also makes the Y-wings hit a bit harder (2 attacks at ranges 1-2, one of which can ion the target) Agromech's on the Y's would be awesome, but we're 1 point shy of having them on all 3 Y-wings. We could gain 4 points by dropping the mangler to an ion and the ion cannons to blasters, which both makes the list hit harder and makes serissu less ideal of a target, and also combos better with the Agromech. With that change we have 3 points left, perfect for either a hull or stealth to make Serissu harder to kill.

Potential List: Serissu with Heavy Scyyk title, Ion Cannon, and Hull Upgrade (more garaunteed than stealth), 3x Syndicate Thug with Blaster Turret, BTL-A4 title, and R4 Agromech. Attack with an unmodified Y-wing attack, trigger the BTL title and spend your focus to shoot with the Blaster, gain a target lock to re-roll with. Serissu brings some control to the list with Ion and is a fairly hard target compared to the Y-wings.

Problems: Extremely prone to both the Y-wings terrible dial and being blocked, preventing a ton of the Y's damage.

Fixes: drop the blaster turrets and agromechs from the Y's, add back on Ion Turrets, and use the final 3 points for Unhinged Astromechs on the Y's.

Potential List: Serissu with Heavy Scyyk title, Ion Cannon, and Hull Upgrade, 3x Syndicate Thug with BTL-A4 title, Ion Cannon Turret, and Unhinged Astromech. Now the list moves farily quickly around the table, throws a total of 7 attacks that don't require tokens, and is pretty defensive. Additionally, the ion cannons give the list a ton of control, with the potential of ioning two big ships or 4 small ones each turn

Problems: 4 of the 7 attacks are ion shots, and the other 3 are only 2 dice outside of range 1. Moving so fast means that you will likely never have a shot on the same ship two rounds in a row, especially if it's only moving 1 forward.

Fixes: not really sure if there's much we can do mechanically to change the list at this point, but careful flying should mitigate the dials, and you're throwing so many shots that you're bound to his something

If you throw in Kavil, it can take some heat off serissu. Kavil + blaster turret + r4 hits exceptionally hard.

I'd lop off a single unhinged for V.I on Seirssu

Phantoms will still be a thing, but if you can peg them while they're sitting at 2 agility, they either a.) won't re-cloak b.) will re-cloak, won't shot next turn, won't do anything but move 1 forward and take an action

Option #2: flechette cannon + V.I. You aren't as effective on phantoms but you will cold-clock re-cloaks, and you get the absolutely infuriating stress + ion wombo combo added to your squad
