Anyone noticed nothing is for sale in the FFG store.

By rapatpamp, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

I wonder if it was true that Disney won't allow FFG to sell Imperial Assault on it's webstore?

I even tried doing searches and nothing.

Kinda sad.

EDIT: I did find it, you have to goto upcoming, then click dice pack, ect.

Haven't found the base game though.

It's Hasbro that won't allow ffg to sell the game themselves.

The rumor I heard was that the only reason we have a miniatures game is because they wouldn't allow a board game, so they added minis to sell it.

I don't know how much truth there is to this since the Skirmish game is really balanced and far from a throw in a lot of people think it is.

Just a rumor I heard, not necessarily one I believe. I love the game, regardless of how it got to be the way it is.

IA is largely based on descent which includes lots of minis, so no FFG didn't just add minis to sell the game.

FFG are licenced for star wars miniatures games but not star wars board games, which is why IA is now branded as a miniatures game despite saying board game on the box.

Sadly Hasbro didn't agree that IA wasn't a board game, as a result FFG can't sell the game directly and must use the Hasbro distributors.

That absolutely makes sense... proof that rumors aren't everything.
