Oh my God . . . IT DOES!

...

...I never noticed that resemblance before. I will never look on an Aggressor the same way. :P

I'm curious (and jealous); how do you people do the glowy cockpit thing you have going on?

It's a process called Gemming or jeweling,

Lol it was like watching Mr. Rogers Neighborhood painting technique...Butt it was very detail oriented...

yeah I'm going to attempt to so some Tie avengers I had 3d printed before I dare do it to an actual game piece

This was my first attempt at the cockpit. Just take it show and use at least ten layers and you should be good.

Yeah, I'm not sure I trust myself enough to pull that off...

Ran them this weekend, 3-2 and a lot of fun.

Just go for it unfair. Worst case you paint over it or strip it right?

those ships look awesome! here is what I did with mine20150307_201226_zpsqsadhw5u.jpg?14259088

I really like your colors but I would suggest a wash over the bronze. Help give you a bit of depth. The coloring throughout the ship really makes it pop though.

I finally got around to repainting one of these.

Your IG has a pretty strong steampunk vibe. I like it. I also noticed you're from BC. Vancouver area?

Here is my other one. The Tatooine Fox.

Since my Ig-2000 arrived, there was that constant itch in my back...but thanks to you, I finally know what this thing reminds me of! Applying a "Swiss Army Knife" paint job might be funny thing to do :-)

That is awesome, I think I would very much like to see that.. lol

Knowing that a list with two IGs isn't very original, I at least wanted them to look original. Makes it easier to recognise them from across the table too. Made them the same, as I felt they should be identical. (Bounty Hunter token indicates B here.)

The paint jobs are great but when I look at that thing I always see a giant water bug.

Metallic finish looks nice on these things.

Here is my big bad black robot .

The following colors were used (all applied with a paintbrush):

- Gunze Sangyo gloss acrylic colors for the body (mixture of black and dark grey) and the blood stripes.

- Black oil wash

- Revell matt enamel coat (except on glossy cockpit)

- Various Revell enamel greys for several layers of drybrushing to get that "raw" look (and also the blueish engine area).
