Hear me, baby? Hold together.

Too bad the plane didn't have a refrigerator he could hide in.
Said he walked away from the crash, but is in critical condition. Not sure how that is possible.
I really want to hear the explanation behind these events, but I have a feeling said explanation is:

Internal injuries can be pretty bad, but not noticeable until later. Something like internal bleeding can take time to become noticeable. Hope that isn't it.
I wish him a speedy recovery.
so much for Han flying, solo!
...........
..........
i'm here all week!
I like how some media outlets are reporting him in "serious" condition... Sensationalism at its finest!
Witness Elaine Miller said the plane appeared to be gliding in without noise and landed right side up. She ran up to the scene of the crash to help.
"He was able to speak. He expressed that he was in pain, which was no surprise," Miller said.
Ford was taken to a hospital in fair to moderate condition, Los Angeles Fire Department Assistant Chief Patrick Butler said. No other injuries were reported.
The report I read said he was originally listed as critical and changed to serious later. And just because someone can tell you where they hurt doesn't mean it can't be serious or critical. Many speak at the scene of a car wreck and don't make the trip to the hospital. Either way hope for a speedy recovery.

This is too perfect. I'm trying not to make light of the situation, and I sincerely hope he gets better soon.
That being said: first, the Falcon comes after him. Now his plane goes down.
Maybe it's time to retire from his pilot career...
And Ford did want Han to die in the OT...hmm...
Wow - he isn't the youngest anymore. All this battering can't be good for him. I'm worried.
I'm sure you think you are being funny, but there is some awfully insensitive comments in here. Grow up.
Strangely the headline I saw was "Solo pilot crashes plane onto golf course fairway" Solo indeed....

Geez calm down. The guy has a history of crashing aircraft and from the reports I read the injuries are not life threatening. I'm sure no one here wishes him anything other than a quick recovery.

take things with a grain of salt my friend. life's a lot easier that way
Humour is a coping method for some people we don't all react the same to bad news stop being an asinine jerk.
No one's wished him ill their just trying to keep peoples spirits up.
I hope no one at the hospital tells him his odds of survival.
Get well Harry.

If you find the comments in this thread offensive, quickly get off the internet and burn your computer before you see any other forums ever...... your head may actually explode.
and now I wish I was on my home computer where I had that scanners gif saved.....

Also, adrenaline is some powerful stuff. It's not uncommon for it to let people walk away from accidents and such with injuries that should have left them unable to move.
Get well soon, Harrison!
Edited by DR4COCrashing the plane into a golf course was also an inspired idea. More doctors there than at a hospital, as well as lawyers to keep the doctors from doing anything wrong.
I heard it was just some cuts and scrapes as far as injuries go. I was worried when the guy on the radio first started talking about it, made it sound like he was dead.

Yeah, his son said he's "battered but okay."
Hoping he gets better soon.
The choice to land on a golf course was a good one, because it's one of the few places in California that's clear enough for a landing. The pictures look rough, but well-flown. It's a shame to see that happen to what looks to be a Ryan PT-22 Recruit, as those are great old birds, but 1930s aircraft don't always have all the modern safety features and so crashes of these classic planes are not as uncommon as we might like them to be. It sounds online like he's doing all right, which I'm glad to hear. Crashes in old aircraft can be extremely nasty. Over the last couple of years we've lost several warbirds and their pilots, including that horrific incident at Reno just a couple of years back. So, anyway, best wishes for his speedy recovery.
Edited by NightshrikeThe Empire is covering up the fact that they shot his plane down in an unsuccessful assassination attempt.
Glad no one was seriously injured.
