By George304, in X-Wing Squad Lists

ive been toying with a possible initial 16 ATK DIE High PS small ship squad

N'dru Suhlak - Expose or bare

Cartel - Syck - HLC

Serissu - Syck - HLC if ndru is bare then ptl w/init bid

Laetin- Syck - HLC

Send ndru around the flank and bring up the slippery sycks..

Not a squad I'd take to a Store tourney, but definitely really fun to fly

Why not try a cluster missile on ndru? His ability counts for both attacks giving you 2 4 dice attacks.

Friends don't let friends use Expose. In fact, in most cases casual acquaintances and total strangers shouldn't even let one another use Expose.

You're in better shape here running Opportunist instead, or--better yet--retuning the list to include a couple of "warthogs" (Y-wings with Ion Cannon Turret and the BTL-A4 title), which typically roll 5-6 dice per turn instead of 4.

it's not terribly reliable and it puts an unreasonable price tag on what is still a Z-95

also, lone wolf. N'dru was basically made for it or to run around naked as Backstabber 2.0

That may be exactly what it needed, those new sycks can do just about everything but boy are they squishy..

How would you run Serissu plus two warthogs and z with opportunist ?

You could try something like this.

M3-A INTERCEPTOR: · Serissu (20)

Veteran Instincts (1)

"Heavy Scyk" Interceptor (2)

"Mangler" Cannon (4)

Z-95 HEADHUNTER: · N'dru Suhlak (17)

· Lone Wolf (2)

Cluster Missiles (4)

Y-WING: Hired Gun (20)

Ion Cannon Turret (5)

BTL-A4 Y-Wing (0)

Y-WING: Hired Gun (20)

Ion Cannon Turret (5)

BTL-A4 Y-Wing (0)

Tanky Y's with a RR and NDru flanking for a hammer blow.

I've never been a fan of the Y as it doesn't go well with my style of play.. I'd be more likely to go with something that hits heavy but I'll try to incorporate Y:

Serissu [Veteran Instincts, “Heavy Scyk” Interceptor, “Mangler” Cannon] (27)

N’Dru Suhlak [Lone Wolf] (19)

Drea Renthal [ion Cannon Turret, Unhinged Astromech, BTL-A4 Y-Wing] (28)

Palob Godalhi [Wingman, Ion Cannon Turret] (27)

I wonder if Outmaneuver might be able to give Lone Wolf a run for it's money? Both his ability and Outmaneuver have conditions that need to be met but since the conditions are different it's not an all or nothing situation. If he's flanking it is very likely that he'll end up with getting both. Getting an extra red and costing his target a green is a nice combination.

Lone Wolf depends on your manuevering

outmanuever depends on your opponent being in arc of a ship without boost or barrel-roll while not having his own arc on it

imo, the choice is pretty clear, especially because lone wolf contributes defensively to making N'dru an even bigger pain in the ass

the idea for the heavy hitters club is maximum possible damage output per turn but i wasnt considering the fact of staying alive with a squad like this.

Lets try to make a balanced list with high dice or high atk, that doesn't die in the first round or at least one that can go down two ships at the end of the second joust. The ioned Y with Btl ,if flown well, is quite dangerous.. I'm going to try this squad lol.

In my experience with him, if he was getting his ability bonus he was usually also out of his target's arc. A lot of rounds that he was denied his ability he still ended up out of his target's arc.
