With my availability more difficult to do regular skype or online sessions, i was curious if anyone knows of any groups that do play by post (pbp) for EotE. I'm still a noob to EotE since i've only ever played the beginner box trying to GM (my first time) for my younger brother. We had a great time, but i'm a total noob to table top rpg'ing. I tried to get into Star Wars Saga Edition, but likewise, never ended up meeting up with people - only ever did a play by post - which was fun.

I'm running a private PbP game with a small group of friends scattered around the globe. We're using a fairly loose interpretation of the EotE rules to try and avoid number crunching or excessive need for immediate GM input since timezones and forums aren't exactly conducive to either. It's more a case of using the core mechanics to provide an element of unpredictability into an otherwise normal looking play-by-post RPG.

I was GMing an EotE PbP until the holiday season last year, when I lost all but one of my players (who I've gamed with for years) due to them having various personal/family issues crop up. I'm willing to start up a new group, if I can get 3-5 players that are seriously interested. Prospective players do not have to be experienced in FFG's SWRPG (although it will make things go much faster if you do know this system), but I would prefer that if you're new to FFG that you at least have played d6 (WEG) or d20 (Saga) SWRPG.

I am SO IN ShadoWarrior. A fair amount of familiarity with FFG, moderate with both the WotC Star Wars lines, and WEG d6 was my first RPG system ever

stevemfred - rpol.net is a wonderful little PbP community. You could skim through there and see if anything's recruiting - it's completely free (allegedly there's a paid option but I haven't seen any details about it) to register, play, build and run campaigns, etc. They also have other game systems if you really need to get your WoD fix in

I am definitely interest in joining a pbp game. I have played several sessions and am currently GM for a group (one only play every few months, though we go for 8-10 hours when we do). I have never been a part of a PBP game for any rpg so may need a little bit to get used to it but should be able to post consistently.

I'll throw my hat in the ring for PBP. I've never really had one last terribly long, but there's a first time for everything.
