For the windows i do like that :

- Khorne red

- Wash of reikland flesh

- Some khorne red at the bottom to light a bit.

- Some mephiston red at the bottom without recovering the khorne red layer

- sometimes i draw a thin light red line on the corner to create a sort of reflection.

- Than i pass a layer of gloss varnish and that's it !

I will try to do some youtube video with all the simple, really simple technics i use.

I hop to do start that on april !

So you put a light layer of Khorne red half way up the whole window. Hit the whole thing with the wash. Little more Khorne at the bottom 1/3? Followed by a bit of Mehpiston at the bottom? A video would be great. Going to attempt on a A wing because don't care if I have to strip it. Thanks again.

Since the wave 4 i don't strip the paint off. I just use thin layer and it do the job

So older waves: Yes. Newer waves (Post Wave 4): No.

I think they have change the varnish on the ships since the wave 4.

For example, even after a bath of 12 hours in "brake synthetic liquid" , the only result i get was the break up of the ship^^

I airbrush Vallejo Surface Primer over the ships right out of the box. The only real cleaning they need is to make sure they are free of dust or lint built up on top of or sometimes in the factory paint. Not an issue I've ever had with bare models before.

Also getting used to painting hard lines at this scale is quite tricky. Your stuff here looks amazing!

Your TIE repaints are crazy. I don't think I've ever seen a cooler squad put together. That's just stunning. How did you get that imperial symbol on the wings? Stencils? Freehand?
