Yellow force !
Yellow force !
Very nice!
It's hard to find alternate paint schemes that work, but I think that you have been able to pull this one off very nicely.
Thanks for sharing.
Any other ships that you have in mind for this new paint scheme?
Thanks
I don't have so much time now for xwing, so i sell all my rebels and imperials ships, but i keep the scum
here is the ghost !
That's a really neat way of handling the detachable Phantom! Are you using a 3D printed docking bay or did you create that yourself? Is that dorsal turret magnetized as well?
Hi, sorry for the late. I ve creat it with an old credit card
I m not a pro with plastic cards modeling, so i ve paint it with rust and dust to hide the details
And yes, the turret is magnetized!
This turret too :
Just finish it, because yes, i want to play a cloaking hawk !
Stunning!!
Beautiful!
I have been looking at A LOT of painted cloaking effects and this is my favourite to date.
I think that it is the subtle blue panel highlights fading to black that really make the paint job pop for me.
You can consider this technique copied as soon as I get my hands on a Phantom
Yes it's a simple freehand

Here is my nashtah pup, based on a plan found on the web.
Not really happy with the extra cockpit frame, but that's ok. First try with miliput since i m out of greenstuff.

If he is too long for enter in the hound, i will change the place of the canon

Wow, that's great. A pity FFG didn't include something like that with the Hound's Tooth.

Hi, no sorry, i only paint for my own for the moment
Hi !
Last add for my scum army.
Beautiful!
Sixwood does it again!
Your painting is SO consistent, and on a level where I can only aspire to.
I have a few questions, if you don't mind:
Do you have a background in art or painting? How long have you been painting minatures? How do you plan your paint schemes? What kind of reference do you use? And how much time do you spend on a ship?
Thanks for posting pictures of all this high quality work.
Six... I'm weird. I have this bizarre sense of imaginary personal honor where I've stopped attempting painting techniques (at least ones on miniatures to show off on here), without asking permission from the individual who showed them to me.
If you say you'd rather I didn't.. I wont. Simple as that. If you agree I'll cite you as my inspiration and link to this thread.
May I copy the glow/fade on the laser cannons like you've done?

Thanks a lot guys
I don't have any formation in art ! I paint since 2014 if i remember well. I m not a big fan of the star wars univers so i don't paint the official schemes. If you see my painter office.. hum wait, i don't have any ^^ i always paint on the table of my main room. Got only 1 small brush, 1 bigger and 3 for the dry brush
No aerograph ( don't like the render ) .
I m the king of procrastination so i never paint one ship in just one time. But i think, for a small ship it takes 2 hour maybe.
No worries juxstapo ! I m not a trade mark and i don't copyright my paint ^^

You do all of this work...WITH JUST FIVE BRUSHES?!?!?! My God, I couldn't imagine what you could do with more - I would probably throw out all of my hobby supplies if I saw what you could do with more!
Just goes to show what one can do with minimal supplies, time and an Imperial Cruiser sized amount of talent.
Hop, here is the last ship i ve paint.
Little yellow squad is complet
Just taken another look through all of your Fantastic Models Sixwood.
Your models are fantastic and inspirational.
Hopefully you will return to Painting soon.......... the Forum will miss your skills and Beautiful paint jobs
All the best,
Barry.
I was thinking about Sixwood's thread the other day too. I remembered him mentioning selling off some of his collection and I thought that it was telling of what was to come.
Maybe the new ships will bring him back to us...? If not, I hope he's doing well using his talents elsewhere. Come back to us mon ami!

Even your simple paint scheme looks fantastic.
Welcome back.....nice to find time to enjoy it isn't it.
The other great thing about the painting forum is how positive it is.....in comparison to all the other sections on the X wing forum anyway !
Good job and nice to see your still painting.
All the best,
Barry.
The droid detail is amazing!
Bump for my own personal ease of reference.
