I think he means getting it without buying Scum ships for it, that is to say, Most Wanted. Thing is, you'd still be buying MW for the BTL-A4 title, and given the dial ruling you can use MW's ships for the rebels too. MW is not a bad buy for the Alliance.

It appears that they do. Silly people.

Rogue shadow confirmed.
I think the rogue shadow is a lot more likely at this point then the Gozanti if we get Juno with the Raider it would be silly to think that Starkiller isn't on the way.
And whats up with that 65m ship length anyway was the ship really that big?
Edited by DodtThe Imperial Raider is actually an Epic Ship and Imperial Aces 2, they just put them together so people would have to buy both.
Muhwahaha.
Scum Aces was the Most Wanted pack.
Nah... dat is the OUTER RIM STARTER Set!

Looks like it is to me... too!

As much as I hate to play Devil's Advocate against my own interests, Starkiller wasn't really known as a pilot. And if Juno is indeed already piloting a TIE Advanced, how likely are we to actually see her on another Imperial ship? I mean I'd love to, but it hasn't exactly been done yet. The easy 3 would be Juno as the top pilot, Galen Marek as the middle pilot, and perhaps Proxy as the third with no EPT, using a generic as one of those previous pilots that Vader killed.
And would Starkiller be a non-unique crew? I mean he's a clone right? or maybe he does that force bubble and can cause damage to every other ship at range 1. Or maybe he just pulls star destroyers right out of the sky.
I think at some point we are going to see the same pilots being used in different ships, the will try and avoid it where they can but at some point their going to bite the bullet and just do it. We do see Boba and Kath in different factions, and yes it would be odd if they did the rogue shadow without a pilot card for Juno on it. Maybe this will push the rogue shadow back a few waves but the raider has some very rogue shadow style to it. Starkiller's pilot skill only works if there's a raider on the table and adds a dexterity element to the game where the player picks it up and throws it across the table destroying any ships it collides with. ![]()
Next wave is definitely going to a "hijacked" theme where rebels have stolen imp ships sporting rebel insignias and paint jobs and imps have the prototype x wings before the rebels got their hands on them with the dark imperial paint scheme as well
Edited by Tidally LockedFor those who don't know, the Gonzanti-class cruiser is a film canon ship that appears in both canon cartoons.
It plays a very prominent role in the Star Wars Rebels series–it's possibly in every episode.
The Imperial version is larger, carries and supports 4 TIE fighters, and would certainly have similar abilities as the GR-75.
It certainly would fill out the gap between Wave 6 and 7. Which would mirror last year's dual Huge-ship releases. It would be highly doubtful that there will only be a single 6.5 release with the Imperial Raider. X-Wing Miniatures is 1/3 of Fantasy Flight's business.
Calling out the Gozanti is not about wishful thinking. It's a prediction based on precedence, prominence and playability.

It's also a ship, that despite being "canon", is probably less well-known amongst Star Wars nerds than say, a Hapan Battledragon, mostly because it's a Prequel ship.
rogue squadron pack... X& Ys.... lots of up grade cards. Ys get EPTs and Crew slot.. Xs get rogue squadron pilots. Well the ones that are currently not all ready out..
Since Wave 7 is apparently alla bout bombs and ordinance, I wouldn't be surprised to see Imp Aces 2 (two bombers) an Rebel Aces 2 (two Ys with a non-scum option of securing bomb load-out)
the bomb loadout with S&V isn't S&V exclusive, it is usable with the Rebles..
that I know
but you have to buy a S&V box to get at them (and the title)
this leaves design space open for a future rebel expansion in which these upgrades become available (kind of like how imp aces finally gave interceptors push the limit without having to buy a-wings...)

Okay, okay, I get your point, but the hyperbole of Hapan Battledragon is a bit much.
But, Patox has a point, the Gozanti is not that obscure. It's certainly less obscure than the E-Wing and the TIE Phantom were/have been. Just because your distaste for the prequels may be more palpable than mine is (which is still somewhat palpable), doesn't mean that it's obscure.
Do people think that if they keep saying Gozanti it will come true?
At least they've stopped talking about the Vigil. I'm glad that idea has been put to rest and the Vigil people need to find something else to rally around.
Edited by Mikael HasselsteinThe Raider is pretty much diet Vigil anyway.
I bet if we see the early art images for it that Alex mentioned with the navel turrets rather then the pop up guns it would look even more vigil-like.
Edited by DodtJust the imperial raider i think, youre also being very liberal by considering the playmat a wave 5.5 item.
I think you're gonna see a reduction in releases for X-Wing because if they keep up the pace as they have done for the last 18 months most players won't have the time or money to get into Armada.
We'll get wave seven in summer and wave 8 just before christmas, Full waves will be every six months and inbetween will be interim Aces style products, the other gaps will be occupied by Armada releases.

Presumably that's where it attaches to the mothership
Only during construction.

That IS the pace the game has taken.
Wave 1 was released in Fall 2012 (with the game).
Wave 2 was released in Spring 2013
Wave 3 was released at Fall 2013 (gencon prerelease, sept real release)
Wave 3.5 (Imp Aces) was released in late Winter 2014
Wave 3.75 (Rebel Huge) was released in Spring 2014
Wave 4 was released in late Summer 2014
Wave 4.5 (Rebel Aces) was released in Fall 2014 (gencon prerelease, oct real release)
Wave 5 was released in Fall 2014 (gencon prerelease, nov real release)
Wave 6 was released in late Winter 2015 (Feb)
Wave 6.5 is scheduled for a 2015Q2 release
So, we've gotten 2 waves a year, typically one in the fall (for Gencon) and one in the spring (6 months later). And since they've started doing in between wave releases, there have been 3 thus far, pretty much spacing out every 3 months some release of X wing. The timing seems to be a bit off with 4.5 and 5, it would seem that they wanted rebel aces to be available at Gencon, and W5 to be Xmas released. Which would predict that the Raider is scheduled for May time frame (just in time for Regionals, go figure!), and then W7 (or 6.75) for a Gencon release. This leads me to believe there won't be a W6.75 since it doesn't fit the proposed timing schedule.
And yes, we all know that it doesn't always happen as it's planned, but it's consistent enough to rationalize that their plan is a release every 3 months.
Also, Wave 2 was intended for Dec. 2012. So, 2 waves a year is a reasonable plan.

To be fair, that kind of happened with the outrider.

I'm still not certain we'll get the Raider till Q4. Even at last announcement it was at the development stage listing.

REALLY!? Sweet. I'll take that. When it first announced and I'm pretty sure an article after that came out it was listed as in development. But I still Think Q2 is a tid bit hopeful. With this new information I'm still guessing Q3. I mean c'mon it's FFG. It's always delayed.![]()
