Mandalorian Missile Storm

So I'm loving the generic Scum Firespray. Its native 5 PS coupled with EPT is just downright nasty and provides plenty of fun options for crew and pilot talents.

Realizing the almost auto-include crew of Recon Specialist pairs extremely well with the often overlooked EPT Deadeye, I was inspired to create a list for Firesprays that included lots and lots of dice. The K4 Security droid also opens up options for munitions on the Firespray, so I created the following two lists:

Mandalorian Mercenary (35) x2

- Deadeye (1)

- Recon Specialist (3)

- Cluster Missiles (4)

Black Sun Soldier (13)

Total: 99

This list provides ridiculous firepower for a turn and guarantees at least a focus to spend on one of the four attacks from the missiles. Also, if the enemy ship isn't in range of the missiles or is in your auxiliary firing arc, it provides an additional focus for defense as well.

The next list is specifically designed to duke it out with Dual Aggressors which I anticipate becoming a popular choice:

Mandalorian Mercenary (35) x2

- Veteran Instincts (1)

- K4 Secuity Droid (3)

- Cluster Missiles (4)

Black Sun Soldier (13)

Total: 99

This puts the Mercs at PS 7 and allows them a Target Lock + Focus after a green maneuver. I feel like this is a good use for the Security Droid since it allows you to make the most of an auxiliary arc attack with two re-rolls if you can't get the enemy ship in the primary arc for the cluster storm. Also, even your maneuver leaves you in a place where you can't shoot, you can at least take a target lock for a future attack.

Thoughts?

Is giving up your EPT slot worth it for just 1 list? Or for just 1 attack?

If I were to run ordinance on a firespray, it would be Ion Pulse Missles with Tactician. Whatever you hit with that would have to spend 2 turns clearing the stress and ion tokens before they could turn around to hit you.

You know what Deadeye and Rec Spec go really well with? Advanced Proton Torpedoes. Fire APTs with focus token at opponent's large ship to unlock achievement.

But really, it's a better idea to just stay away from ordnance. You're usually paying 4-5 points for a single attack that's not that much better than your normal attack+action, and is usually worse because of the restrictions of Target Lock. Ion Pulse Missiles and Proton Rockets are the exceptions, and only sometimes.
