I am just about to run the big fight in the middle of the plainsong serimony, any tips or advise before running this?

Have your players ******* well behave themselves. Also, bodycount.

I'd prepare for a long combat, pre-draw a battlemap and ensure I have enough time to finish it in one go.

If you've done this already, I'd appreciate your comments.

Be aware that one of your players might get the bright idea of starting up the truck they rode in on and running down some heretics while the rest of the acolytes unload their weapons from the back of the vehicle. Brush up on your understanding of the vehicle rules.

I'd also recommend using the mook rules (either the simple or advanced versions) from Creatures Anathema for this battle, unless you want to keep track of the wounds and injures of a dozen or more different voicers.

I bought this easle pad (the art pads that you can flip through) it has 30 pages of inch square increments and the paper is about 3 feet by four feet. Its awesome for dark heresy, I couldnt find any real RPG tatical maps any where so i just got this (if you know where to get real ones please tell me), It was about 25 bucks, Well any way, I layed out the map and walls with lincon logs because i dont have any real terrain. Also i think the map was too small so its going to be one square (1 inch) = 2 meters. My freind Warhammer the table top game, so we are using his space marines and pyskers, I have genaric human figures for towns people and stuff. That how we play, I would love to know how you guys play.

The paper is one inch grid, I think I forgot to say that.

You may want to look at this thread (on how to use Excel to depict battles in RPGs):
