A little house rule we like to play by is that when gambling with no gold at the tavern and you lose (roll a 3) then you must fight your way out of debt! Fight the farmer that you owe a gold too! Strength 3 as usual

Back in the day we used to use a houserule that if you didn't have gold, you lost a life. House took the debt out of your skin basically. Yeah, Tavern deaths were a real thing !

haha good stuff, makes the Tavern more like a real dodgy old boozer I like giving the character the chance at least to fight for his life. Perhaps the disgruntled gambler who is owed money could become stronger than Strength 3 due to his blood boiling over the outstanding debt Strength 4-5 could work well

We used to play in all circumstances if you couldn't pay a gold you lost a life, it came from out 2nd edition games, but we stopped doing this awhile back.
