Had to do a couple quick M3 repaints for game tonight, it's a really fun ship to paint... plenty of angles and lines for markings. I know I'll be picking up a couple more if only to repaint.

Oooohhh, these look really nice! I can't decide which one's my favorite. Blue and Silver is my favorite color combo (did a squad of my rebel ships in that scheme) but that metallic red looks great too

Nice work! These versions look right for S&V. Less military than the Imps or Rebels, and a bit more flashy. Something a gangster or gun-for-hire might fly.

Planning my own repaints, I was wondering about the M3's engine glow color, and went to the pilot cards for reference. Each card appears to show a different color!

Love these! Can't wait to get my Scyks repainted. Of course, I'll have to find somebody to do it, I'm a lousy painter.

Hey Ickey, I click on the Image icon in the 'Reply to this topic' interface, which will prompt you for a URL. Since I share from Photobucket, those images have a URL to copy and paste into the prompt.

The other night when I played against my buddy's scum ships, he kept saying "THE SPICE MUST FLOW" because he was using a Spice Runner

With the help of a more talented buddy I too will start painting my models...and going with the theme of S&V being individualists, crooks and bandits, I will give my M3s purple pimp and tiger stripes paint jobs

I wanted to do something for my Scyks. I have been inspired by a lot of people's work on here. I liked the idea of some sort of metallic color for these guys. I used a darker metallic and then highlighted with a gold. Oh, and a GW black wash.

I have some GW decals. I'm thinking of using these triangles on the tails. I'm thinking the yellow might be good. Few chances to use yellow and look good and it will be a little different. What do you think?

Not sure if I should do the yellow and black dags or a snake symbol that I have. If I did the dags (triangles), then would it look better on the outside of the tail? Or the inside closer to the engine?

My vote would be inside, closer to the engine, but I bet it could look good either way. Maybe mock each one up, take a pic, and then post them so we can see what you're talking about exactly.

Decided to go for Hutt Cartel colors for my M3, with a splash of 'been used so long its dirty' look

That's almost the exact color scheme I was going to use for my Scyks. Good choice!

That blue scyk is great! I'm inspired now!

I like how the engine wash has stripped the paint.
