I am trying to get a livestream on Twitch for an upcoming store championship set up and wondering what advice people might have.
I would like to be able to use a switcher, either a Tri-Caster or a digital switcher on a desktop, 3-4 cameras, and have a couple of intro videos and interstitials.
What would people recommend?

I run a regular stream from FCB Games in Alpharetta, Ga at Twitch.tv/fcbcomicsgames. We will be streaming this Wednesday at 7:30PM, and are planning to give away a Scum Expansion on the air. This is one of our games:
We use OBS as our primary streaming software, in conjunction with Snaz for timers. Works like a charm. Let me know if this helps and if you need anything else!
I stream computer games on twitch from time to time, and highly recommend OBS. It's free software, and is fairly easy to use.
Do you connect your cameras via USB, or did you have to get capture cards on your computer? Also, I run a Mac, so OBS isn't really an option. I've been fooling around with a wirecast demo today, and can only get 1 webcam to work at a time.

I believe they are all USB. If there is a capture card, it is internal, but I do not believe so. I only know the software, really. All of the hardware was owned by the store and we were told we couldn't improve it. We have a really high quality camera for the tables, and we also have cheaper ones as a shop cam and a commentator/interview cam. Soon, we are adding a GoPro via WiFi so that we can carry it around during tournaments.

If you could find out for certain, it would be really helpful.
