This list gave me some success this weekend. My only problem was that I straight up forgot to use Emon's alternate drop arc for bombs, and instead always used the 1 straight. Probably would have done even better if I had remembered. Also the new Y-Wing title is so badass it's insane!

I like the looks of that list with one exception.

Proximity mines work best on low ps ships.

Id take inertial dampers off and upgrade to proximity mine on a ywing, and try find one more pt for the other

Maybe switch a proton bomb for a proximity mine

Sorry I'm in love with proximity mines. They are my go to for bombs.

I've ended many ships with kaboom from them lol.

Sucks when you see your opponent roll no hits, but it's great when they roll three

Which is why i like to have at least two Proximity mines in a list.

One may miss, but usually the other gets them

I don't think I even HAVE that many proximity mines lol!

For now, I expect alot of other PS 1 or 2 ships in the meta. Especially 2's, due to the Y-Wings. If it's a tie I'm hoping my opponent will opt to take initiative, effectively making my Y-Wings the higher pilot skill. Either way, I dislike prox mines because they use your action. I REALLY want a focus or target lock with these Y-Wings because they are getting 2 attacks each turn, so a TL is ideal - because if I roll well on the first attack I have it available for the second... and if I roll well there, I keep it for the following turn and then add a focus.

I just like proton bombs SO much better it's crazy. Being able to deliver 1 shot an A-Wing, Z-95, M-3A, or shut down a Y-Wing with a secondary weapon malfunction... or make Chiraneau lose his pilot ability, or turn Decimator turns red.... I mean there's just SO much epic goodness that comes from proton bombs...

Crabbok, what makes the Y-wing so much better with the BTL title? Is it just the fact that you can do a maximum of 3 damage + ion rather than the 1 damage 360* ion?

Once your opponent is close (range1) you are moving first.

You fly past your opponent and use your action to drop the proximity mine.

You already know where he'll be when you use them, unlike proton or seismic

He is now behind you, so your not shooting anyway.

Now especially on a ywing you only have one evade dice so focus is not near as important.

As for emon, you could put experimental interface on him.

I haven't tried that yet, but I've heard of others in my area do good with it.

Experimental interface is only used when you plan on dropping a bomb so you won't use it a whole lot.

Also proximity mines work best on low ps ships.

The problem with proton and seismic charges on low ps ships is your moving first. Therefore you may lay your bomb, and if your opponent is smart will see that coming and go a different way.

And then it's gone.

However, put them on a high ps ship, and now your moving after your opponent.

So now you can view the board and judge if it's a good time to lay it down.

I do have to say I've had a ton more success using proximity mines on scimitar than I ever did using seismic.

The faq really help give the proximity mines a boost.

Cause now they go off if you manage to lay them right under the ship.

I do like the proton bomb but it is expensive. The higher ps ship the better

I've considered using it on emon but at ps5 may not be a high enough ps to be very accurate with them

Ohhhhh lots of bombs. I like it. Also, you totally could bring a variety pack of bombs on Emon, trade a Proton for 1 Seismic and 1 Prox mine.

I'd also add K4 Security droid for potential TL + F stacking or just TL for Offense and Focus for Defense, similar to how Recon Spec wants to function, but you also potentially get an action when blocked or dropping a Prox mine.

I flew a near identical list last night. I opted not to use the y-wing title, used intel agent instead of recon, and added unhinged to the y-wings. My opening move was 3 kturns with the y-wings on either side of the firespray. Then with careful bumping, I moved back towards my edge very slowly. At this point my opponent wised up and decided not to go head long into me.

In retrospect, I think the k-turns should have been round 2. Saddest part, emon only dropped 1 of his protons :( , but it did connect on 2 b-wings

This is my take on Bomber Command. The K4 is great for that lovely TL for max damage from Bomb and shooting.
