Maybe he's just taking off in combat. Boba is only a couple feet above the landing pad as a rival ambushed him, trying to take Boba's bounty from him (and clearly not abiding to the Bounty Hunter's Code). However, Fett is ready, and fires a volley of missiles that blast his attacker out of the sky (Hence the explosions reflected in the canopy).
How's that, feel any better?
Edited by Radarman5So they are in landing postion, which I assume means he isn't going flat out and needs the extra fine maneuverability that landings often need.
Would this extra maneuverability be required when you have blown up a ship that was right in front of you (RB1 of course) and are trying to avoid getting all that carbon scoring on your paintwork?
might just be perspective
it looks more intimidating that you can see them flush like that, like he's some giant burning cross monster
Now we know how inertial dampeners work.
Or he's blasting his way into somewhere!

Ninja`d was going to say something similar.
He's just pulling a "Crazy Ivan".

No man crazy Ivan pulled a bobba.
I've always thought of them as maneuvering vanes, and could see them articulating or rotating to adjust vector or positioning.
i read that as murdering vanes

Depends how close to the ground you're willing to fly.
Edited by Grand Moff TurtleWhat does "landing position" mean in space? What is considered "down" when you're surrounded by the vacuum of space? Why are you bothered by that and not the dozens of other illogical things in Star Wars?

Murder-vanes works too. ![]()
The moment I first saw this picture, I know he is about to do something compeling. I think he's flying really swiftly towards somebody. He instantly pulled the wings down, slowing his speed to attain a greater amount of agility for defense, while his oponent tries to shoot back. Then, on that last second, with guns ablaze, he disintegrated his target to ruble.
Nailed it!

Since he's inventive, he instantly pulled the wings down, therefore slowing his speed to attain a greater amount of agility for defense, while his oponent tries to shoot him down. Then, on that last second, with guns blazzing, he disintegrated his target to ruble.
Nailed it!
That only works if he's in atmosphere. I like the idea that he's just blasted down the doors to some station/ship he intends to land in.

The enemy's gate is down.
After Regionals I'll never have to look closely at that card again so this really doesn't bug me.
