I've seen lists pushing both, so I'm curious which you think will be more effective?

So far I've been running advanced sensors to maximize unpredictability. My favorite combo so far is IG-88C and IG-88D so you can boost/evade before you flip your dial and then pull hard 3 K-turns if you need to. Slap predator on both of em' to modify attack dice and autothrusters to help with defense.

I would run FCS if I was running IG-88B to make him a buzz saw

sensor every day of the week

1.) hilarious pre-movement boost (+evade with C) shenanegans

2.) Large base leading to bumping + obstructions on an action-dependent ship practically require it

On higher PS ships sensors always wins.

Advanced sensors is fantabulous. I used a couple IGs last night for the first time, and found myself S-looping everywhere. The lack of actions hurt pretty bad.

Now, if you're taking 88B, FCS gets a second look. Having that modified second attack can really make a difference. But of course, it means nothing when stressed...

I prefer Advanced Sensors. It helps when you're playing bumper cars, and it let's you keep your action when using your sloop kturn moves.

88a doesn't really care

88b prefers FCS, but can make due with Predator as an Elite Talent instead.

88c and 88d prefer Advanced Sensors, for differing reasons.

Whose ability do you intend to take the fore? Therein lies your answer.
