Wave 6 ideas

Good morning everyone

Well I've been trying to come up with some wave 6 builds.

I've been using duel aggressor on vassal and my first game at our lgs.

But to come up with anything else especially for competitive use

We have a store tournament coming up March 14 and no idea if I'll fly something wave 6 or something rebel/imperial.

Here are some ideas I've been playing around with

If not competitive they be fun for friendly games if anything

List 1

4x Syndicate thug

Autoblaster Turret

Title

Unhinged astromech

Binayre pilot

Hot shot Blaster

This i thought maybe on par with the bbbbz that people seem to excited about lately.

Pros

Range one-shot can be devastating

Same amount of hp and agility as the bbbbz

The ships pt value are basically the same as the bbbbz

Con

Less shields more susceptible to crits

Range 1 maybe difficult depending on opponent list

Beyond range 1 dmg output not as high.

List 2

Torkil Mux

Ion cannon

Cartel spacer

Canon title

Hlc

4 Binayre pilot

Feedback Array.

The idea of this list is Torkil is kind of the bigger threat but the spacer with hlc makes your opponent into some decisions.

Try kill Torkil who is behind the z, or go for the spacer with the hlc.

Torkil reduces a pilot ps to 0. Making it much easier to ion a phantom. Once the phantom is ion, the z just swarm it and set off feedback array.

If Torkil can basically manage to ion anything with five or less hp, with 4 z95 that's 5 dmg total.

Dead xwin, phantom, interceptor etc etc.

If your opponent opts to kill the z95 that leaves the spacer alone with a hlc, and Torkil as well.

The big weakness here I think is Torkil requires range 1-2 so he has to get pretty close to the fray of things.

But I hope that this list makes your opponent make some tough choices.

Leaving Torkil alone is hopefully the outcome

List 3

Amon azzameen

Recon specialist

Andrasta title

3x proximity mines

Experimental interface

4x Binayre pilot.

I've had a ton of success with the proximity mines on bombers and amon just looks like fun.

4 z95 are there for fodder and blockers.

Recon specialist on amon for that added protection late game.

Hard to ignore 4 z when flown aggressively in your opponents face.

Have amon bring up the rear.

Experimental interface let's him still get double focus and lay a proximity mine when needed.

List 4

2 Mandalorian pilot

Tactician

Tamsarii pilot

Canon title

Hlc

Or downgrade to cartel spacer and put recon specialist on both firesprays

The interceptor is there actually to pose as a bigger threat than the two Firesprays

He'll likely die fast, but that does buy extra time for the two Firesprays. Hopefully before the interceptor dies he does some dmg leaving two Firesprays to deal with either with Tactician or recon specialist a pain to deal with.

Well these are just a few that I've come up with

Sadly I'm finding it real hard to fit the Starviper in any lists.

Hoping once I see some more list ideas I'll become more inspired and think of something

So thoughts and suggestions?

anyway, scum YYYYZ is not really comparable to BBBBZ because the auto-blaster + title is an incredibly finicky little combo. Ion + title would get closer to B-wing level of damage output and the ion might compensate for the lack of barrel-roll, but you can't fit four 23 point ships and a pirate in the same list.

what you could do is

(2) Thug + Ion + title + unhinged @ 24 points each

(2) Thug + Auto-blaster turret @ 20 points each - no title

(1) Pirate @ 12 points

48 + 40 + 12 = 100

I have found that Y-wings with blaster turrets and R4 agromechs are quite nice. 3 dice turret with TL for dice modification is quite potent. Upgrade one to kavil for the extra die and you get a pretty deadly ship

Ya I figured the 4y and z could be tough to pull off.

Thing is having a list with many turrets ion/Blaster/auto that require range 1-2 makes it hard to shoot down the Autothruster ships that will be hitting the table.

I say good luck trying to lock down fel.

I didn't mention this one, I played against it once in vassal. Though I did win, I did like this list

(the list i flew against didn't have proton rockets but swarm tactics on Kavil)

I liked the idea of this list, but i did beat it with echo and RAC.

So that does make me hesitant.

Echo single handedly took out the three ywing, as I made a real dumb move with RAC and he was ion off the board.

I'm finding it hard to come up with some lists.

I didn't mention duel Ig88 because I've already done well with them, just want to make use of the other ships.

I kind of like the 4z with feedback array, Torkil and the hlc cartel spacer idea

Again though not sure if it'll work out as well as I think

Put the z95 in front of the cartel.

Keeping them in formation. The z will hopefully be harder to ignore as they will be out front.

Kavil stays off to the side gives cover fire and 4 dice turret.

I would think the opposing player would want to target Kavil first, but two spacer with hlc are very hard to ignore.

The z up front if ignored are great blockers and hard to ignore their range one shots as well.

I kind of like the looks of that list

Have two formation

The z and the scyke

Keep the scyke behind the z until after the first initial pass.

Again the z will hopefully be the target your opponent chooses.

Serissu with stealth and elusiveness may be very hard to hit.

Along with Laetin with her stealth and assist from serissu.

The z will become targets and blockers

Get in the way of high ps ships.

hopefully take the incoming fire

If serissu can keep close they maybe able to get some of that reroll action.

Maybe this for Starviper build

Virago

Advanced Sensors

2 Binayre pilot

Mandorolain

Recon specialist

Determination

Keep xizor behind the z95.

They will very likely become the targets for your opponent.

If he decides to go after the bh you have recon specialist for that extra defense, and determination just because.

This then would leave xizor and the Zs alone which

Gives a ps 9,5 and two 2 which again maybe great for blockers
