So I want my Y-Wings and M3-As to match the Black Sun colour scheme of the Z-95s (why are they different from the Star Vipers anyway?). Anyone managed to match that colour using Citadel paints?

And before anyone says "the Black Sun didn't use Y-Wings or M3-As" I don't care

This'll do! Not happy with the finish on the M3-A, needs some dry brushing, maybe some more detail work, but I think the overall style looks good

I've added some edges to the M3-A and added some wear to the Z95s to match.

Also, it's hard to tell without a better photo, but one of the Y-Wings has an Unhinged Astromech

What the heck? On my iPad these looked right, on Firefox (on Windows) the pictures are rotated 90 degrees. Anyone else see that?

What did you end up going with for the paints?

The off white is 3 parts Ceramic White, 1 part Screaming Skull, wwith a thin layer (watered down) of Nuln Oil over the top, and a lot of extra Nuln Oil in the recessed areas (as that's how FFG's models look).

Abaddon Black matched the black areas fine, but I added some very very very dark brown (Abaddon Black mixed with a tiny small of one of the browns) to look like burn around the engines.

The dry brushing is Longbeard Grey.

They're rotated in Chrome, too, but since there isn't any "up" in space, I'm not sweating it.

Sorry, I wasn't clear - I meant why are the Headhunters a different colour from the Star Vipers? White and gold vs blue and black off-white vs grey.

Vigos probably get more expensive paint.
