If your interested we came up with "Wing Vs Wing". Each side takes exactly four, named, small sized fighters of their choice and equips them to make a squad 150 points or less. Then setup and play as a standard game. Phantoms kind of ruined it for me but it's still a very intriguing format.

You could rule phantoms count as 2 ships or some sort of handicap to even out the balance.
