Tion

How would you pronounce "Tion" as in the Tion cluster and Tion Hegemony?

Is it:

Tie-on

Tee-on

Sh-on (as in station)

Or none of the above?

Pretty sure its one of the first two, If I remember it right its Tee-on. Think they pronounce it in the Old Republic but was ages since I heard it.

I always pronounced it "Tie-on". Similar to Scion or Zion. But that might be a regional thing.

Maybe everyone outside of Tion pronounces it 'tee-on' while everybody from Tion pronounces it 'tie-on'.

That's how it was pronounced in the old NPR radio plays.

Depends, if you wanna apply strict, old School English Grammar to it, then you must remember the saying that "When two vowels go a-walking, the first one does the talking" And as such, pronounce it Tie-awn.

But I don't do that because to me, it sounds better pronounced as Tee-awn.

Plus, when was the last time that the English language actually followed its own rules? ;)

You could always have it pronounced differently in different regions of the galaxy. Dialects are common and interesting artifacts of language.

This is a very Lucas thing to do.

Lando calls Bespin, "Besbin".

I also go with Tie-on, like it was in the old NPR radio drama.

We also have Han, sometimes it is Han like in Hand, sometimes it sounds like Hon, I guess like Hawn.
