Feedback Array Headhunters

By Teh HOBO, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Been playing around with the idea of a Z-95 Feedback Mini-swarm. 2 list I came up with, both fluffy and fun.

Xizor/Push the Limit/Fire Control System/Autothrusters/Inertial Dampners/Virago

Black Sun Soldier/Feedback Array x4

Kath/Lone Wolf/K4 Security Droid/Dampners

Binarye Pirate/Feedback Array x4

I can't figure out how to spend the final 6 pts on Kath I was thinking Predator+K4 might be better? I know lone wolf won't be triggering mid-game but early/late game... I dunno.

The K4/Lone Wolf on Kath is a little redundant. Plus, even though it's only a mini swarm, Feedback Zs would do well to spread out to hit dodgy targets like Phantoms, and with 4 of them LW might not activate much. Upgrade to Push the Limit on Kath and add Engine. This brings you to 99 points. Kath can move green to clear stress and get a free TL every turn, and if not blocked use PtL to do any 2 other actions: boost, evade, or focus.

Better Kath list:

Kath Scarlet

Push the Limit

K4 Security Droid

Inertial Dampeners

Engine Upgrade

Binayre Pirate/Feedback Array x2

N'Dru Suhlak/Lone Wolf/Cluster Missiles

Still struggles with swarms but that PTL+K4 droid combo is just so good on the Firesprays. Plus it has Lonely N'Dru(forgot about Dru? Had to do it...), my new favourite pilot.

My suggestion:

Xizor: Predator, Virago, Advance Sensors, Thrusters

4 Black Sun Bug-zappers

I haven't really liked PTL on Xizor because it really screws with the excellent but slow and green-lite dial.

Imo, sensors are a must with the bug-zappers because you're going to be blocking yourself constantly (or flying through asteroids) to set up some disgusting feed-back arrays/Xizor-arcs, and you're going to want that focus action far more than the situational target-lock off of FCS (situational in that you only benefit if shooting the same target, whereas focus can be used far more flexibly and Predator always grant at least a re-roll)
