PSA: FFG Listened, we can stop talking about scum dials now

By Tvboy, in X-Wing

I admit I don't like this. Still it's their game. I'd prefer my opponents to use the right dials at least--I've only had one game where I proxied a dial (My MW hasn't arrived yet) and I picked up my opponent's dial three times.

Have you played any mirror-faction matches? All the same colour of dials have never been a problem personally. Just place them closer to you than your opponent nearby the ship. Failing that, place them on the ship card, plenty of people do that and it keeps some space free on the table.

If anything, this ruling's going to cost me more money. I wasn't going to buy any Rebel Z-95s just now, or another Hwk, a third Y-Wing or a second Firespray, now I'm seriously considering them.

I think marking them solves most of the issues other than aesthetics. I already have put ring protectors on the back of my upgrades and pilot cards so I'll probably whack 3 of them each on my dials eventually :)

I'm glad they changed the ruling, I'm NOT GLAD that they didn't do it before the products were released

To be fair, there was never a ruling in the first place only emails. That is something that is always subject to change.

My thoughts exactly. All the sound and the fury over something that never was official in the first place. Personally, I am glad that I could run four Bandit and four Tala with my four Reb and two Most Wanted if I choose. Have a scum swarm that I want to run that calls for five Binyare Pirates... Do I want a third Most Wanted? Maybe.

I would say FFG has done a phenomenal job of introducing a third faction in just about the most fair way possible. Yay!

Well, if we're going to stop talking about scum dials, we're going to have the change the topic - probably to bacon :D (though that does risk pushing this topic into the "Off-Topic" sub-forum).

So, anyone visited Little Caesars lately?

I went and read reviews on it. This is, quite possibly, the one of the most unhealthy food items ever constructed. 450 calories, 23 grams of fat, 830 mg of sodium and 40 mg of cholesterol per slice.

I still want to try it, but I need seven people to split it with me.

On topic, I used the Scum Y-Wing dial all weekend at Store Championships, just because I could. It came in handy, as I had quite a few occasions where I accidentally set a B-Wing dial to my Y-Wing, but the color-coding helped me fix any mistakes before they were an issue.

Good call. I do believe that when I fly Panic Attack in the future I'll use the Scum Y-Wing dial to make it easier to know when I placed the wrong dial.
