Not sure if this has been covered already, but is it possible to place more than 1 bomb in an instance? Getting off 3 proton bombs in a cluster of ships in the same location seems ridiculously amazing.

No, the latest FAQ clearly states you can only "Drop" one bomb per turn.

Proximity Mines are also considered Bombs, just FYI
