What published ruling, exactly? The only time I know of that it's been published was in the 2.2.2 version of the tournament rules, which was superseded less than an hour later.

Yes, but more options (good ones for swarms like Feedback Array and Deadman's Switch) is easily worth slightly more than the loss of one PS.

That's heavily dependent on context. If I have 36 points left over in a Scum list, I'd be better off with 3 PS2 Headhunters at 12 points than 3 PS1 Headhunters for the same price, plus three upgrade slots I can't afford to make use of.

I'm not arguing that the illicit slot isn't good, or that I'm unhappy with Scum Z-95s. But divorced from context, you're going to have a hard time convincing me that PS1 is better than PS2 for the same price.

One could argue that as a 36 point filler 3 @ ps1 is better than 3 @ ps2 for blocking and stuff

There was no published ruling only a email. Even if the rule didn't change you still could of used your Rebel dials in friendly games. And even then you still would been better off with the IG-2000 then a second MW box.

If you'd like to sell or trade some of those extra Scum ships, I'll make the same suggestion I was making to folks complaining (in the other direction) earlier today; take advantage of the thriving secondary market, and find someone who wants you Scum stuff (just like I told folks who decided they wouldn't have bought their Rebel Z-95 if they'd known they couldn't use it as Scum, I'll suggest it to you, who doesn't want Scum now that you can use it as Rebel).

If you're really unhappy about your purchase, do something about it. Sell, trade, solve the problem instead of just complaining. It's not hard to find folks who want stuff, so sell them the stuff they want. It's the American way.

Who's to say FFG won't make a separate expansion pack for the Scum Z-95? The Most Wanted pack was the most efficient way to release a new faction without having everyone buy the ships a la carte.

Take the Core Set for example. You got 2 Ties and 1 Xwing, and then they came out with a separate expansion with additional pilots and upgrades.

I work hard for every dollar and budget my funnzies carefully. They said to run the list I was thinking of running I NEEDED the right dials. I didn't ***** fuss or complain I followed their lead I got 2 Most Wanted when ONE!!! JUST ONE!!! Would have been sufficient. I passed up on the ship I wanted for a whole month. Yes I did get shafted on that deal no two if or buts about it.

Can I sell the second MW yes but why was I put in this position to began with? They should have picked one answer and stayed with it. Its called professionalism.

As someone who also budgets carefully for my hobbies I understand your frustration but disagree with your position.

I made the choice to hold off on the MW pack and instead opt for a pair of Aggressors. Unfortunately, due to supply & pre orders at my FLGS I was only able to obtain 1 Aggressor (initial shipment only contained 2). FLGS also did not receive any MW packs. However having budgeted for two ships, I made the choice to pick up a re-issue FireSpray (my first since I started mid/late Wave 4) knowing that it would mean I couldn't field ANY sort of S&V list (casual games excepted) until I pick up either a 2nd Aggressor or MW.

The purchases I ultimately made were not FFG's fault, as they had provided me with information about the intent for tournament play. Yes it sucks that they have flipped on the issue, but your purchase choice was made in compliance to stated rules. Rules often end up with errata and in faqs after official release due to unforeseen issues by play testers and community feedback. Making the choice for a 2nd MW over the Aggressor in this case was unlucky but by no means is FFG to blame for your choice.

I'm on Rambler's side on this one. And I totally think the matching dials should have been enforced. It's a hobby game. You don't need Scum and Villainy. If dials are an issue, just stick to your old Rebs vs. Imps.

I don't care either way, but am waiting with bated breath for my second Most Wanted because it will effectively let me run six Z-95s of either faction, as well as four Warthogs.
