Boba and Lone Wolf

By BigMrDonut, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Say I am using Boba (Scum) *When attacking or defending, you may reroll 1 of your dice for each enemy ship at Range 1* and he has Lone Wolf *When attacking or defending, if there are no other friendly ships at Range 1-2, you may reroll 1 of your blank results*. There is one enemy ship at range 1 and no friendly ships at range 1-2. I have one focus and am facing several incoming attacks.

After the first attack, all I need is one evade but I roll *blank* *eyeball*. How would the rerolls work? May I use Lone Wolf first to reroll the blank to see if I can get a natural evade, then decide if I want to use my focus or reroll the *eyeball* with Boba's ability, or must I reroll them both simultaneously?

The re-rolls are provided by separate abilities so although they trigger simultaneously, you may resolve them individually and in any order.

All rerolls would be resolved on your 'modify dice' step. In your example, you can reroll two dice, one for being Bobba, and another for being alone, following the normal rules for rerolling dice.

Which leads me to ask myself... Lone Fett? or Bobba Wolf? which one sounds better?

Just remember that you can reroll every dice only once. So if you roll a blank and an evade, you can reroll the blank from lone wolf, but no matter what your reroll is, you cannot reroll it again.

"Lone Fett" methinks.

Yes I understand I could reroll both if I wanted to, but my question was "can I reroll one, see what it is, then decide to reroll the other, or must I reroll both at the same time". Thanks to Funkleton for the direct answer :)

Also, my vote is for Lone Fett as well

Two separate abilities means two separate rerolls. The trigger is "when attacking..." so you're still in the middle of your attack. So you can reroll one before deciding to reroll the other. There's no requirement for them to both be rolled at the same time.
