One of my buddies is organizing a small 8-player escalation tournament in a couple of weeks, and since I've never played that format before, I'd like some feedback on a list I'm considering.

Most of the attendants are casual players, and i don't expect to see a lot (if any) of Decimators/phantoms/YT-2400 and the usual top-tier list like the two-ship fat turret combo that seem to dominate the meta at the moment. In fact, I have very little clue as what to expect.

Lists are rebel and imperial only, but upgrades from S&V are allowed. I plan on picking up Most wanted, a M3-A and a StarViper before the tourney.

After the tourney, the plan is to combine the lists for two rounds of Epic play.

Here's my list so far. I'm a bit concerned if four refit prototypes will be able to hold their own in the first round, before I get a chance to add some more firepower.
