So i just stay zipping around at R3 and give what ever ship does not have me in arc fits. I have found that making people roll one less die gets them quite frustrated especally if it was their only one.

I don't think that will be as easy as you think. Quite a few other ships will now have Autothrusters and will want to get in close and out of arc and if your going to run around the outside you will be more predictable for them and you only Ps 6. I'd swap Outmaneuver for Pred if it were me or even PTL.

I gotta agree that it will tough to get Outmaneuver to trigger when and where you want it to.

One strategy might be to deploy each IG on a different board edge, so they can converge on targets in the middle and ensure one of them is triggering Outmaneuver. You'd risk losing the ability to focus fire in the first engagement, though.

Better with PTL, IG2000, Mangler, Advanced Sensors, Autothrusters, and feedback arrays I have found. Outmaneuver much better for arc dodgers who can keep their own arc, like awings and ewings and Tie Interceptors and phantoms, though I've never seen a phantom with outmaneuver.

If you drop HLC, you can replace it for mangler and ion. That way, you can ionize the enemy, then super-s-turn when you know they can't turn around.

When my friends didn't have any turrents I used to run A whisper and an Echo with Intel Agent, and Outmaneuver, it was absurd.

Yeah, I agree with above advice about outmanoeuvre. Its not that easy to get out of ppl's arcs when you're on a big base, plus, without barrel roll, the IG-2000 is not 'that' dodgy (even with adv sensors + s. loop).

Also, the heavy laser does not work well with IG88B. It can't shoot at range 1, so that means if you are ever in close, you can't even use B's ability.

Push The Limit: lets you stack focus+evade when facing heavy incoming fire, or TL + focus when return shots are minimal/nonexistent, but is weak against stress builds, being ioned and does not mesh well with lots of k-turn/s-loop action. And of course allows you to boost and still get some other useful token.

Predator: does not let you token stack, which reduces your tankiness noticeably, but gives you a mini-target lock all the time, even when you are using k-turn/s-loop a lot or facing stress builds.

Generally, one of these two is best (if there's another good EPT for these robots, I haven't found it yet....)

Unlike others, I don't think getting out of arc will be too difficult. What will be difficult is getting out of arc and staying at range 1-2. Personally, I love Outmaneuver on these guys. With the IG-88B's ability, I'm less excited about Predator. However, I think I would drop the HLC. There's nothing worse than outmaneuvering, getting a beautiful range 1 shot with primaries, botching it, and realizing you can't take another shot because your cannon doesn't fire at range 1. That is the reason I switched to "Mangler" Cannons.

I like the idea of Ion Cannon + "Mangler" Cannon with Outmaneuver. It actually works nicely. And I found that most of the times when I roll with primaries, I only get 1 damage through anyway. The added ion effect gives you a great amount of control. Of course, it's less potent against large bases, so having "Mangler" as a backup could be nice.

Personally, I love Inertial Dampeners. I would always try to squeeze that in. If you go the ion route, it's nice because if you're tailing them and they move 1-forward, your 1-forward may cause you to overlap, meaning they could get away.

I like it. Although you are giving up some damage potential without having FCS or predator to combine with B's ability. But that's only against high Agility targets, so if they are not significant in your meta, then this should be fine. Also, without PtL, you can't 'tank' as well, so be careful going head on against lots of enemy shots...
