... good reason why the EU canon wipe isn't all bad.
Ship on p. 29 of Edge of the Empire?
Well this is near the top of the list of ugliest star wars ships.
#1 in on my list goes to this:
...
The ship has massive importance in the later books, and had massive ugliness going on.
What the eff is that?
Some bio-tech Vong thing?
I just looked up that HLAF, and I dig it. I'm thinking good dial, lots of green in the fast/sharp maneuvers, and some red in the slow. Give it S-loops.
2 attack
2 defense
2 shield
2 hull
Boost.
Call it 14 points for PS1.
Add a 3 point title for an extra attack die, and a 2 point title for an extra defense die. A 6 point title gets you both.
3 point HLAF only mod gives it a torpedo slot and a targeting computer.
This gives you a ship that's highly customizable, at a price that's in line with similar stats (at a bit of a discount over the PS1 Squint and StarViper, as I think those ships are about 2 points over priced). The dial would have an emphasis on speed and turning, being actively penalized for trying to slow down. I don't love the idea of charging a point for the Torpedo option, but if all you want is the Target Lock modification, take that at 2 points. But you probably want autothrusters instead.
I always loved the nebulon Ranger. As for that ugly "eye ball", that's a sith battle sphere. It is not living but somehow sentient and has a telepathic link to the sith controlling it. It was ret-conned to being the inspiration for the design of the tie fighter. It is way uglier that it has a right to be.
Edited by R2TitoHow did you know about this?
Did it take some digging or is this a common old republic ship?
I'd seen it before, I just had to remember where.
It was when I was browsing for blueprints.
Always come across interesting stuff doing searches...

Edited by gabe69velasquezLooks Rebel or Scum (not Imperial) because there's a little droid there. Whether it is a regular astromech or a salvaged astromech remains to be seen.
Edit: Given that it is a Crescent class ship, I would lean more towards Scum and not Rebel. Maybe a Scum bounty hunter found this old ship, refurbished it, and used it for bounty hunting. It is similar to how people refurbish Model-T Fords in real life.
Edited by gundamvSith battle sphere is just... ugh!
