I'm trying to figure out if I should invest in third party templates and/or tokens. By far the best looking ones I've seen so far are the Team Covenant ones but they seem a tad pricey to me.

I'm looking for feedback from people who own acrylic sets, are they worth it? Also as a side note I am wondering why the prices are as high as they are for 3rd party bits of plastic, Is acrylic that expensive? Is it expensive to cut and laser? Basically give me a reason to buy these pretties.

1. They do not warp like cardboard.

2. They should last longer.

3. Acrylic is not expensive but the machinery is and its a very limited market in the grand scheme of things.

4. They look the part.

Cons - With all 3rp party templates etc its caveat emptor as your opponent could insist you play with the original templates.

If you are happy using your original templates then why buy them. You would be better served buying more ships.
