Thank you USA Dock Workers

By Eltnot, in X-Wing

Edited version:

Due to Dock worker strikes in the US, Australia is still waiting on their delivery of Most Wanted packs. This is of course frustrating as many of the local stores are holding off running their Store Championships due to not having what they want to sell and promote as part of the event. I probably shouldn't have posted it and have edited the post.

How would American dockworkers have 'retarded' Australia's ability to get Most Wanted in?

Maybe HNN should report that inefficiencies at MandalMotors has caused the underworld in the Periphery (on the edge of Hutt Space) to be low on fighters with which to plague civilized space traffic. While this might be a problem at MandalMotors, the Hutts are blaming it on the labor dispute at Kuat Drive Yards.

Tempers flare. It happens. Just try to consider everyone's feelings! I'm sure the dock workers don't enjoy striking.

While my rage at being denied "D&D dice masters" for another forthnight knows no bounds, I will admit that it's less important than wathever the dock workers are trying to achieve. Stand by your Union.

And since i'm from Blegium i know not to mess with dock workers. ;)

yeah why would they ship from China to America and THEN back to Australia?

Holy crap dude, they're game pieces. You're throwing a tantrum and insulting people that do difficult and dirty work to put food on the table for their families and so we can have the things we really need like food and toilet paper because you can't buy little game pieces that you don't even need?

Dude...

yeah why would they ship from China to America and THEN back to Australia?

That's just how their distribution system works. China sends the printed thing to America (because they don't care what the actual product is, they just make what a company tells them to). China then sends the product to that company, which happens to be located in the states. It's then FFG's job to send the product out across the globe.

At least, that's how I think it works. If someone knows more than me about how this sorta business works, please chime in.

Was it just Most Wanted, or all of S&V? If it's just Most Wanted, then that sounds like a logistical error.

if you read the reasons for the strike I think toy spaceships will seem a bit inconsequential

Besides...it's over now.

Your post lacks the appropriate level of drama.

Top hat guerilla and pewpewpew are in cahoots.....

and have people living in Cahoots got their Most Wanted Packs yet or has the strike affected them too?

I've yet to get mine and I'm West Australian, so the wait is real, haha. I don't know if my once-a-week gaming night will be on this coming Monday due to a public holiday though so it's a bit all up in the air lately.

Soon... it must be soon...

I'm here to put you back on schedule.

I'm reasonably sure FFG itself isn't the actual distrubitor in Australia, much like it isn't for Europe and Asia. Which is why the Asmodee is deal is something of a benefit for them.

Best part is the dock workers probably getting OT pay to get everything they slowed down to a crawl and backed up for weeks(months?) back on track and out.

Yeah, just got a text from my FLGS. They got Starvipers and Interceptors and Aggressors today. And Most Wanted? Another 2 weeks, haha!
