Well now I want to surround Chewie with some rebel troopers.

Wow, I like them all. Chewie's card is basially Son of Skywalker with a boost and an added requirement. Explosive Weaponry gives more incentive to play E-Webs and the AT-ST (and Weiss).

General Weiss' card is crazy good...the fact that you can re-draw it means that you can potentially have a lot of troopers returning to the battle. And that forces your opponent to focus on killing off an entire Deployment Card's worth of troopers at a time. And that makes the (smart) Imperial player keep his trooper groups split up so that they cannot all be killed at once. It's an interesting card.

I do like the SNOWTROOPERS in endless reserves....wink-wink.....Hoth anyone?

Its just Artwork from the x-wing, LCG, and RPG so I wouldnt read into that too much.

I like all of the new stuff in the preview in one way or another. I like more side missions, rewards, and agenda sets. And the new command cards will add more options for skirmish lists.

Some of the command cards for a specific, unique figure are really powerful, but I wonder how good they'll really be. Because to use it, the figure needs to still be in play when you draw the card. Some, like Chewbacca's, require certain conditions be met or have a downside (like IG-88's individual card). All else being equal, a command card that all of your figures can use is better than one only a single figure can use.

My favorite command card from this preview is explosive weaponry (probably more for Rebel Saboteurs, honestly). Endless reserves is really cool and flavorful, but that seems like a bad use of one of Weiss' valuable actions unless the Empire gets some more powerful troopers in the future. Overrun is really cool too, but you're unlikely to field more than one vehicle in a list.

I really like overrun, it creates fear of getting close to an at-at whether or not you include it in your deck.

I like that it makes you second guess swarms.

I like the fact that it looks like there are many options and nothing really stands out as a must have.n so far they have done an excellent job of letting the players decide what to play and how to do it. Sometimes the abilities get so specific that you almost don't have a choice r pieces that you know you won or lost when the lists are revealed.

I do like the character specific, more expensive cards that do add the element of power, but can also lead to frustration when your piece is defeated too soon or you don't draw that card. The maps sound interesting as well to see what configuration they contrived. Nice preview to keep the excitement up while waiting for the shipment to arrive.

to read or not to read...that is the question!
