Guri list ideas

By Stubby, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Guri

Virago Title

Feeback Array

Advanced Sensors

Autothrusters

Intimidation

4 x Binary Pirates with Hot Shot Blasters

The idea is to try and bump with Guri to:

1) use intimidation so the Binary pirates can take advantage

2)get a defensive focus

3)ensure an attack with feedback array

The hot shot blasters are there to ensure I take full advantage of Guri’s bump

Thoughts?

My reflex would be to exchange the feedback array with deadman's switch. The feedback array will damage you and get you ionned, the last of which could make you unable to bump on the following turn (which would not be good). It would also rob you of your ability to shoot with 3 dice. That's just my initial reflex, however, which might change when I play with scum some more.

This list seems kind of counter productive. You are sacrificing your most expensive and powerful ship to maybe get 1 round of shooting on a de-buffed target. Then you plan on ioning your best ship for 1 damage. Personally I'd put feedback array on all the Zs if you want to do something like that. Let Guri dance around and blow things up.

I think you might be right.

I wanted to try to really make the most of intimidation and use the remainder of the list synergetically but there may be better ways.

Maybe this Imperial list does what I am thinking:

2X

Saber Squadron Pilot (PS 4 TIE Interceptor)

Autothrusters, Outmanuever

3X

Black Squadron Pilot (PS 4 TIE)

Intimidation

100 PTS

Intimidation - When you are touching an enemy ship, reduce that ship's agility value by 1.

Outmanuever - When attacking a ship inside your firing arc, if you are not inside that ship's firing arc, reduce its agility value by 1 (to a minimum of 0).

Yeah you fly that we'll and you could reak havoc on a 2400!

I like

Boba Fett (39)

+ Recon Specialist (3)

Guri (30)

+ Lone Wolf (2)

Both ships like to get into range 1 and have a re-roll and Focus for both offense and defense. With the last 26 points, you can add a couple Black Sun Soldiers or whatever suits your flying.

If you want to make the most out of intimidation (really, blocking) I think you basically have to guarantee it through either ion or a card such as intelligence agent (the yt-2400 would probably be the most efficient platform given its and innate barrel-roll, problem is Leebo is the cheapest EPT and his ability is kind of ass). Otherwise, it's a really situational affair.

Guri strikes me as more of a lone-wolf/predator/ptl kinda gal

Boba+stay on target+outlaw tech

Guri+autothrusters+bodyguard

spacer+HLC

That list might be fun. Guri and Boba up real close. Spacer floating far away.
