Threat in Encounters (RTL)

By KingFolko, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

It reads in the rules as:

The overlord receives one threat per hero per turn, in addition
to gaining his usual one threat for every two surges he spends
when making attacks.

Can I assume from this, that when a hero is killed and removed from the encounter, the OL gets one threat less every remaining turn of the encounter? Also, in a normal dungeon, when a hero gets killed, or goes to Town to heal, does it affect the Threat the OL receives?

I do not believe this is the case. I think it is 1 CT for each hero regardless of current state. So in RTL it should always be 4 CT per turn.

4 threat tokens per turn, you mean. 4 conquest tokens a turn would be brutal.

Ahh yes, Thank you Badend, You are right. I did mean Threat.

The rule refers to how many heroes are in the game, not how many are currently active in an encounter or dungeon. In RtL there are always 4 heroes so the OL always gets 4 threat per turn. Even if a hero dies or goes to town, or even if you play one week and someone is absent (and their character is NPC'd by the other hero players).
