Shiver Nymph summoned

By Edriss, in Talisman Rules Questions

Hello,

If I use the Horn of Summoning to summon a Shiver Nymph to my space, is the Nymph able to flee from combat if my Craft is higher than 2 ?

Shiver Nymph -> If your Craft is higher than 2, the Shiver Nymph will flee 1 space clockwise instead of fighting you.

Horn of Summoning -> You may blow the Horn whenever you land on a space with instructions to draw 1 or more Adventure Cards . Before you encounter the space , you may move 1 faceup Enemy in the same Region to your space . You may only do this once per turn.

Thanks in advance.

I believe the Shiver Nymph will flee.

When you land on the space, you use the Horn.

Then you choose to encounter the space or a character.

If you encounter the space, you draw cards.

Then you begin encountering the cards themselves.

As you encounter the cards in their numbered order, once you make it to the Shiver Nymph, it will either fight you in psychic combat or flee. If for whatever reason you don't get to the Shiver Nymph in that sequence, it remains on the space.

I believe it still fleets because it says, "instead of fighting you." So when you reach the part of your encounter sequence that deals with psychic combat (which is long after using the Horn), fleeing substitutes the fight. You can, however, still do this intentionally if say you want to avoid drawing cards for some reason.

Yes, the nymph is moved there before you encounter the space (when you land there, this is the same time as when you would choose whether to attack any possible other characters) so there's no difference (when you have chosen to encounter the actual space) compared to if it had been there all the time

edit: oops.. Double post
