Legacy 'Ruru: first draft

By theboogerman, in UFS Deck Building

I haven't played legacy in quite a while so I thought I'd throw one of my favorite old decks back together and see what I can do to update it. here's what I've got in the first draft...

Nakoruru (promo)

ATTACKS [15]

3x kunai

3x roundhouse kick

3x midnight launcher

3x spin knuckle

3x Tiamat's rampage

ACTIONS [3]

3x you will not escape

ASSETS [3]

3x King's games

FOUNDATIONS[42]

4x yoga mastery

4x fortune teller

4x friends and rivals

4x soul power

3x preperation

3x cursed blood

3x lost memories

3x glimpse of fate

3x unkown force

3x destiny

3x control the present

3x Revenant's calling

2x rigorous training

SIDE DECK [8]

4x start over

4x power of the edge

A little old school death hybrid action with kunai splashed in for momentum generation and a cheap attack to use 'Ruru's enhance on. any thoughts or suggestions on updating this any further would be appreciated.

First thing -- fit some high blocks in, man, Feline Spike is still legal... Pieces of 8, Inhuman Perception, Charismatic, Buddhist Devotion, Ancient Insight... or attacks, Nergal's Poison Sting! It's practically a Naks staple

IMO cut Midnight Launcher. It's a high attack, so it doesn't really bait for Tiamat's. Shoulder Rush does the same damage, DOES bait, and has an amazing defensive ability too. And I don't think that's the best choice either -- Ichi no Tachi is hot for defense and help with board control, more Kunai/Spin Knuckles ups your damage and versatility (Kunai = +8 damage if you make it to Timmy's, and it's a free Naks E that doesn't count to progressive). Maybe 2x Shoulder Rush or something... but it really sucks if you draw, say, 1 Kunai 1 Shoulder 1 Timmy's, lol.

Haha, you could play Remy support (Light of Virtue?) instead of Preparation (which has incredibad stats) to draw into your Timmy's, although you would have to blow both cards from Fortune Teller to do so (one for the check, one to draw)

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll see what I can change around when I play the deck later today.
