I'm sure someone will say something about not believing an "alleged" facebook post within the last 24 hours not really meaning much until it's on the document.

The rules don't explicitly say that I can't use a blowtorch to melt my opponents ships when I pew-pew them off the board, so untill thats in there, I think I might try that at every tourney. It's not in the rules that I can't so the TO can't stop me.

That's the way we've been playing it as well.
Makes you maneuver that blockade runner just a bit more conservatively.

Well glad they made that clear in the tournament FAQ
I seem to remember that the rules say the movement dials for s&v are the same for rebels,the ship cards have different abilities.
