One thing that bothers me: " Why is there an evade token on this expansion pack, though the ship cards clearly states that this ship cannot perform the evade action?"
Explanation,.....please...

Edited by Orgapurius0907It may well have originally been an action then deleted, but that didnt get changed on the cardstock design.
That or it is there as a spare seeing as imperials need loads of evades and you often lose evade or focus tokens more than anything else. While nealy *every* ship has a focus so its easy to deal with a lost one, not that many have evade so the loss of an evade is a bigger deal.
My money is on the former though.
Unless i've overlooked an ability or upgrade in the pack that allows an evade.
I just assumed they had free space on the cardboard, so they just made another token.
Hmm... well of all the injustices in this cruel world I would say complaining about a extra evade token in a expansion pack is pretty low on the list mate.
I concur, the defender probably had the evade action on a preliminar design. Then, the developers went "OH No!!, What monster do we have created??!!! That white 4K will overdominate the game!!!"... And they started to systematically slice the defender, stripping the evade action from it (amongst other things). I guess it wasn't worthy to also remove the token from the cardboard, so they left it there.

The Defender is such a crazy good ship it doesn't even need the Evade action to get an Evade token - it just gets one automatically at the beginning of each new turn.
Wait... FFG didn't give it that ability? Pshaw.
it's obviously just to taunt us ![]()
I've found that on 3 agility ships, the focus action is actually just better even if your just using it for defense. You'll usually get at least 1 eyeball, and often times you'll get multiple which makes up for the rare times you don't roll any eyeballs.
Evades really shine on ships with 2 agility or less.

also when you're being shot at by 2 offense (or HWKs?)
I'll take the guarantee any day
