Kwenn Space Station

By RLogue177, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

The description in Lords of Nal Hutta says more than once that Kwenn Station is the last point before entering Hutt Space from Imperial space. Plotting a trip to Nal Hutta, from say, one of the core worlds like Alderaan, can you not go straight to Nal Hutta without stopping anywhere?

I guess that's kind of my question about flying through hyperspace (which is nothing like dusting crops, boy). Do you come out of hyperspace at each "leg" of the trip? And Kwenn Station is at one of these leggings?

I certainly don't mind if my players are "forced" to stop at Kwenn Station on their trip to Nar Shadaa, but is it normal?

That’s the general idea. The hyperspace lanes that are laid out are kept clear of asteroids and other major dangers, and most ships will stick to the lanes.

You could try to plot a course that skips the lanes, but that’s way more dangerous and filled with a lot more unknowns. But it could also be way more profitable, or otherwise advantageous.

Giant hand wave coming. We don't force stops unless it is important for the story.

If you look at the galactic maps, there are routes into hutt space that don't go through Kwenn. I think saying "the last point before entering Hutt Space" is like saying Barstow is the last stop before Las Vegas. It's a common way point, but not a required stop over.
