[Brain F@rt]: Turn order...

By DigitalChicanery, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Okay, so in the CRB when describing a turn, it lists Incidentals, Maneuvers, and Actions in that order, then proceeds to describe Incidentals, Maneuvers, and Actions in that order...

I was under the impression (and at this point, I'm guessing incorrectly) that that was the "order of operations" for a turn.

Basically, my question is RAW:

  1. Incidental
  2. Maneuver
  3. Action

With the order of events mattering...

-or-

  • Incidental
  • Maneuver
  • Action

Where the order doesn't matter, they just get to do three things each turn (obviously not taking into account bonus maneuvers, etc).

You do things in the order you choose to do them in

Yeah, it's any order you like. You can take a maneuver, do an action, yell an oath at an adversary as an incidental, then spend two strain to do another maneuver. Or you can shoot as an action, then make two maneuvers to hightail it out of there, screaming for mercy as an incidental. There's no explicit ordering.

My characters NEVER scream for mercy...they always scream "NOT IN THE FACE!"
